Brunton House B&B

It was unfortunate that i had to stay 1 night in brunton guest house! I was shocked at the state of the toilet and sink ( very brown eww) looked like not been cleaned in a year! I called over the road to one stop shop and spent nearly 20quid in cleaning products. It took 2 bottles of bleach to clean that toilet and another for the sink. On first glance the bedding looked clean but when you looked on the underside of the duvet it was covered in stains ewww! Stains all over the carpets also. When i moved in a friend helped me with my bags and the landlady shot us daggers. i didnt find out till the next day that friends were not allowed in the building? when i asked about this i was informed not too nicely that that was the rules! So if u dont mind dirt and stains and a prison like enviroment,,ie banned from having guests then this is the place for you. Just because you are homeless does not mean you have no standards and i for one like to be clean. To add insult to injury i was asked to leave all because i dared to ask questions. And the people who ran the guest house had the nerve to say the room was clean after i had already cleaned it!. I could not believe such a brazen lie! . I got a really strong impression that we should just be grateful for having a roof over our heads never mind how dirty it is. ps I FOR ONE WOULD RATHERLIVE IN A TENT IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIELD than stay here. ps i was moved to another guest house and what a difference a hell of a lot better. woman who runs it is nice and its clean ;-)
