Location near Sapporo train station. There is a 10 minute walk each way.convenient to metro. Excellent breakfast. Nice room and view on 18th floor for 3 night stay. See photo.
My only comment is that this 5-star hotel does not have a hot spring bath, charges 3,300 Yen (~25 usd) to use gym and sauna, and charges to use indoor swimming pool. Similarly, a nearby 3-star hotel includes these amenities and is free no charge.
On the last night of our trip, we returned to the hotel where we felt the most comfortable and convenient.
Nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel is just a 15-minute stroll from the main shopping mall. If you prefer a taxi, it only takes about 5-6 minutes and costs around 870 yen—an incredibly reasonable fare. Most drivers are familiar with the hotel by name, so you won’t need to fuss with a map.
This time, we opted for a king-bed room, which turned out to be smaller than the twin-bed room we had previously seen. After taking a look at both options, we now know exactly which room to book on our next stay.
Once again, the staff impressed us with their warmth and attentiveness. Fluent in English, they went above and beyond to assist us, even helping arrange a taxi to the airport. The check-out process was lightning-fast, making our departure seamless.
Without a doubt, I will choose this hotel again for my next visit to Sapporo!

This hotel is a must especially if you’re going during the Sapporo Yuki Matsuri (Snow Festival). Susukino and Odori site are only few blocks away and the Tsudome site is only a subway ride away. It’s super close to the subway station and it’s also close to Nakajima Park where you can play in the snow. The Susukino site is a very lively place with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Pros: best beds! This was the 6th hotel in our month long Japan trip their firm Simmons mattresses are the best. Good public bath on the top floor with an open to sky outdoor tub. Excellent friendly staff. Little things like reprogramming the escalator to go down during check out hours, seats at the elevator lobbies, and code to access to the baths makes the stay nicer. Best prefeb bathrooms and also nicely appointed deco. Room size was bigger than your standard business chain hotel. Great location too to Sapporo Station and Odori Park.
Cons: although the breakfast selection was adequate, it badly lacked variety. Everyday was the exact same items/menu. I strongly recommend that they change out 20-30% like other hotels. For this reason alone we can not stay more than 5 days. We moved to another hotel due to this breakfast issue.
Overall, we would stay here again but again for not more than 4-5 nights due to the breakfast. Its a real pity because we like everything else about it. Almost a prefect score.
Proximity to Sapporo station is the main consideration why I booked this hotel because it’s my first time in Sapporo. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is very well put together: rooms clean with impressive amenities, breakfast buffet is excellent. I will definitely be coming back to stay once we go back in town.
3 of us staying in a room with 3 beds, the room is a bit small compared to what we have at Otaru but since it is at City so is reasonable. The service is good, help us to receive our posted luggage, the reception counter is located at level 2, there is a hot and cold water dispenser there which saves our time to boil water. Daily top up 3 bottles of water for us. They allow us to check in early as our room is cleaned. One thing that is not too good probably is the air-conditioning, as we came in winter the air-con in the room is not too cold a bit too warm for us. Hotel staff say it is due to the system generally on warm mode unable to change.
Walking distance about 8-11mins from Sapporo JR station, downstairs there is a dessert shop, seico mart and tax free souvenir shop as well.
Daily Japanese and western breakfast is good, but the menu seems like its 2 kinds will alternate some dishes on alternate days. The Japanese breakfast set only has 2 varieties one is cooked salmon and the other one is raw seafood. I personally prefer the raw seafood set.
One thing I like is there is an airport bus just in front of the hotel although it takes longer to reach the airport approximately 1 hour 40 mins to 2 hours but save our time from walking up and down with luggage.
Overall I am happy with the stay.

The hotel staffs are very polite. I haven’t pass by one staff who did not greet me. Excellent service.
Excellent location. Supermarket at B2, subway and underground street mall at B1, food court at level 3 and 4, cinema at 5. The hotel lobby at 7, and use a different elevator at 7 for room access. Other non hotel guests cannot reach hotel floors.
Pro: Pola skin care samples and coffee packs at lobby to take for room use. Floor to ceiling big window at room for excellent street view. Considerably big room for Japan standard. Get two fancy bottle water per day.
Con: 4000 Yen breakfast per person is a little expensive, but recommend to buy at least for one day. Great variety and quality food at breakfast.
Sapporo Grand Hotel truly lives up to its reputation. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the train station and right near the shopping streets, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The hotel itself has a charming, classic elegance and is very well maintained.
What stood out most was the staff—everyone we encountered was warm, professional, and went out of their way to assist us. From check-in to check-out, their courteous service made our stay extra comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and well-located hotel in Sapporo!

The hotel was very well location next to a major park. the hotel offered parking with a fee (1000 yen per day) which was convenient. The front desk offered higher floor room with nice view which was pleasant. they also offered welcome drinks upon check in.
The hotel is located between Sapporo Station and Odori Station, very convenient for taking the railway. The hotel offers hot springs and free Sapporo beer at 7:30 p.m. The room is well-equipped and has a great view, with a beautiful night view of Sapporo. The Christmas decorations in the hotel are beautiful and the staff are very polite. The only downside is that the towels were dirty one day and the bed sheets were not changed. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I visit Sapporo.

Very Good
CCHEUNG justAlthough the hotel is only two blocks from the subway, we found it challenging to drag our heavy luggage over the icy roads. There are no dining options nearby, and the hotel does not have a coin laundry on the premises. We had to walk about 10 minutes on the icy roads to find a coin laundry. While the hotel is decent for business travelers, we would prefer to stay closer to Sapporo Station, especially during the winter.

CchanJackyWithout giving me trip coin. I also want to recommend this hotel.
Firstly, due to my connecting flight is delayed, hotel staff willing to assist me with my request. I do really appreciate the help they have given .
Secondly is that, the location is just next to train station. It is superb for the location.
Thirdly, the picturesquare view during autumn could just observed from my room. It is really amazing experience.

GGuest Userlocation is rather outside the main busy tourist area, but the hotel offer free shuttle to sapporo, it could be better if they have evening schedule too. Room is rather spacious as in Japan, amenities are good in quality. Bottle of drinking water has been provided everyday. Breakfast is great, a wide variety of choice.
