APA Hotel Sapporo Susukino-EkiNishi

We stayed in a standard triple room for a night on 29 July out of 5 hotels in Hokkaido that we had pre-booked and we all agreed that this is the best value hotel which we should have stayed longer instead of switching to another hotel (where room price was double) at the Tanuki Koji shopping arcade after our return from Furano. We like this hotel for the following:- Room was clean, large and spacious, bed comfortable and cleaned. There’s even a balcony size separate sitting area which was really nice additional space. Amenities in the room were sufficient and good, they even have separate slippers for take home. The bathroom was big by Japan standard, layout was very thoughtful with the entrance to the vanity wash basin area and 2 separate doors on each side to the bath and toilet. Wifi was ok and air conditioning is good. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good for the price. The spread and variety were sufficient and taste good. Location is about 10+ mins walk from Susukino train station and the Tanuki Koji shopping arcade is about 5+ mins walk. Convenience store; 7 eleven is just next door and Lawson is a short walk across the road. Toyota car rental (highly recommend) is in the hotel building is very convenient for us to pick the car which we pre-book via email correspondence with Toyota. There are nice restaurants and cafes within 5 to 10 mins walk from the hotel. The only negative was the hotel building is fairly old and the windows outside is dirty. Though our room was on the second floor facing the main road but it was not a very busy road. We all slept very well through the night. If returning Sapporo we will stay in this hotel again and for more nights.

Staying this hotel the night before we are flying back to Malaysia. The hotel’s layout and decoration is simple and modern. The rate is very competitive. Overall, the experience with this hotel was pleasant. Location: The hotel location is great. It is very close to Susukino where you can shopping and also having your meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner or even supper) there. Odori park is about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. Check-in and -out: Efficient. Both processes were done in 5 minutes. Room: We (5 adults and 3 children) are staying in its biggest room. The room is spacious. Bathroom is in decent size. Cleanliness is acceptable. There are vending machines located at different levels of the hotel. Staff: Staff are friendly and efficient. They are with limited proficiency in English. Simple communication in English is not a problem for them. Wifi: In-room and public area Wifi are provided. Password is required for in-room Wifi where you can obtain it from the front desk counter. If the password is not working, you may use public area Wifi as well inside you room. Wifi speed is good. Parking: Hotel parking is just behind the hotel parking.
