The service was very warm and friendly from the moment I walked in. It was my first time to experience tatami accommodation. It was clean and tidy. There was a mountain view from the window and the gurgling Jozankei stream downstairs. I visited scenic spots during the day and came home to soak in a private hot spring at night. The set meal dinner was very ceremonial, the ingredients were fresh and delicious, it was a real enjoyment. All my fatigue was swept away. It perfectly replicated the hot spring experience in Japanese movies and TV dramas. It is the best hotel I have stayed in so far.

We had our best experience here in this lovely and exquisite hotel. From the tatami flooring through out and the private onsen, the ambience is relaxing and there is nothing we don’t love about this place!

Because of a flight delay, we arrived in Hokkaido a day late that day, so we were unable to enjoy this hotel, which was a pity.
