Kauntuo land rights were filled, and during the fire season, there was no cold water in the accommodation, and even though it was expensive, the scenery was good. The swimming pool was good, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The road to get there was very difficult. But the air conditioner works well. When you close the door, you have to close it quickly to prevent bugs from coming in. 500,000 won is just for the scenery. The stars are so pretty at night, but it's a fire festival to fill up the land rights ^^

We had 3 nights and 3 wonderful days at the Ecolodge. One day chilling at the pool with panoramic views, one day doing a 25 km bike ride ( don't worry , the off road bikes have good gears) through villages and one day doing an 8 km walk in the country, asking loads of questions of our guide who was really good at answering , with context. Followed up with excellent dinners each evening

This place truly is a little piece of heaven. Tranquil eco lodge in the highlands with lovely bungalows and a feeling of serenity throughout. Service is very good, food is fresh and beautifully served in the two restaurants (three in summer when the outdoor grill is open). Architecture and design is thoughtful and fits with the environment. It’s an eco lodge so things are done with that in mind but it’s not intrusive. It feels luxurious but understated - quite Scandinavian in some ways but still local in feel. Spa is fab (and cheap compared to similar quality elsewhere in Asia). There’s loads of hiking and biking through the surrounding countryside and villages - very worthwhile. The local Red Dao villagers try to sell you their wares as soon as you leave the resort and they are persistent but they’re friendly and it’s cheap. It’s part of the experience to come back with hand made stuff - some of it is quite nice. The views are spectacular and the hiking is great - bring walking shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. Walking through rice fields and through the villages is beyond special. It’s a five hour drive from Hanoi but they provide a luxury minibus which is very comfortable. It’s worth it. It’s very good value too. Stay for 2-3 nights (longer in summer when you can use the pool and chill outside more). Even in Feb the weather is warm enough to be outside (with a jacket). Very much recommended.

We had a lovely stay. The room was gorgeous with our own private hot tub, and all the meals at the on site restaurants were excellent. We went on 2 guided hikes in the area which were both really enjoyable (note that the area is very hilly so the hikes do require a modicum of fitness)

Wir haben uns sehr bewusst für die Ecolodge entschieden, weil die Beschreibungen und übrigen Bewertungen insbesondere auf die tolle Lage in der Natur verwiesen haben. Die Abgeschiedenheit führt natürlich dazu, dass man das trubelige Leben in Sapa eher nicht wahrnehmen kann. Es sind vielleicht nur circa 10-15 km Entfernung, aber die Straßenverhältnisse sind zumindest derzeit und aufgrund der Schäden durch den September-Taifun katastrophal und man möchte diese Strecke nicht unnötig oft fahren müssen. Wir hatten die Premium Bungalows, die insgesamt gut eingerichtet sind. Die elektrische Heizung über die Klimaanlage funktioniert für den Wohnraum gut, aber das Badezimmer ist sehr kalt. Das mag in den warmen Monaten kein Problem sein aber bei Temperaturen um den Gefrierpunkt ist das nicht ganz so schön. Das Personal ist sehr nett, in allen Bereichen. Das Westernrestaurant hat mich nicht ganz überzeugt. Die Rippchen waren dermaßen fett, dass mir danach schlecht wurde. Das asiatische Restaurant dagegen hat überzeugt. Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich und qualitativ hochwertig Die durch das Hotel organisierten Tagesausflüge waren sehr gut. Wie bereits geschrieben sind die Schäden durch den letzten Sturm in der Umgebung zu sehen und auch auf den Straßen zu spüren. Der Wunsch in der ecolodge zu verbleiben und diese Straßen zu meiden, ist daher zumindest momentan sehr groß. Wir können die Topas EcoLodge gerne weiterempfehlen.

Serenity. Lovely accommodations on a splendidly picturesque mountain top. Service is very good and food is excellent. There are three restaurants. Enjoyed two guided moderate hikes. 2 Gorgeous infinity pools. Enjoyed a well-priced 90 min Thai massage. Local Dao women offer a Good opportunity to buy authentic locally crafted goods at astounding prices.
