Hotels in Akrotiri, Santorini

Lefteres and Martha went above and beyond what I have experienced from hosts in my travels, and we travel a good amount. We were two sisters in our 50's traveling together and we felt like royalty at this place. Lefteres picked us up from the ferry dock and drove us about 15 minutes to our rooms. We met Martha, who brought us a tasty snack of home made pastry and showed us all around our lodging. She made us dinner reservations at an amazing restaurant overlooking the water and sunset. Lefteres drove us to the restaurant, suggested we go down to the lighthouse for the sunset, and then came and picked us back up when we called him. (This was at no extra cost!) The breakfast was top notch. The orange juice was fresh squeezed! Everything was fresh and tasty and was delivered to our outdoor dinning table at the time we requested. I loved staying at this end of the island because it was so quiet and surrounded by a beautiful typical neighborhood that gave us a taste of Greek life. The view is amazing. The bus is within a 10 minute walk and took us to Oia and Thera. To top it all off, I left my hat behind and Lefteres delivered it to our next lodging in Kamari!!! Way beyond hospitality, this was a true kindness!

We was first time in Santorini and We had 2 nights with my wife we love it. Everything was perfect the staff was very helpful and smile all the time. The pool was extremely brilliant, caldera view brilliant love it. Our room was clean and perfect and view amazing. What we book we got it. And is perfect for family stay. Bad point's is: Akrotiri is small village/town centre is small 4-5 restaurants and one supermarket in center. But close to red beach but not easy to walk go and back 😀 Another bad point is shower doesn't have hot water and water from shower and tap it's salty. Another is our breakfast we ordered one day omlet and another day scrambled egg was very fatty/oil other things on breakfast was delicious. Recommended fresh orange juice, coffee and desert of the day. Thank you so much Apanemo hotel we come back soon.

Located on a hilltop in Santorini overlooking the Aegean Sea, the sunset is great! There is a beautiful swimming pool, the bedding is also very good, suitable for a quiet holiday, breakfast and dinner are very good! Recommended.

This was a last minute booking for my husband and I. We stayed for 6 nights from 3rd July and we were not disappointed. The room we stayed in with a hot tub was above average size, spotlessly clean and had a beautiful view of the Caldera and over the pool. All the staff went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for night life, this is not really the resort for you - however, if you are looking for relaxation away from the busy resorts of Oia, this is perfect. There are only a handful of restaurants in the village, but ask reception to book a table for you at The Edge, which is magnificent and a short drive away - . it offers outstanding food and service and incredible views of the sunset. Just a couple of very minor ******* at the hotel - we couldn't get any English speaking news channels on our tv - and with the UK Election coinciding with our holiday, we were hoping to have been able to tune into BBC World news or similar but we could only receive Greek, Hungarian or Russian channels. It would also have been useful to have a kettle in our room - there was a fridge and separate sink and kitchen extraction fan for some reason, but no kettle. All in all, we would definitely stay again. We stayed for three nights and particularly because we wanted a good view in a relaxing environment. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Clearly the site requires everyone to be used to lots of steps but we did have help getting our case to the room. The room (2 bedroomed villa) was nicely set out with good furnishings and nice linen for the bed. Beach towels are provided on request. There is a small kitchen area with plates and cutlery. No tea towel or washing up liquid and no cooking facilities but a fridge and sink and a little coffee machine and kettle. Good bathroom with good shower. Nice balcony area...although you are overlooked above and you overlook someone below you. Which can be a bit disconcerting if you were not expecting it. Having said that nicely set out with table and chairs, loungers and the view is marvellous. A nice pool - small but very clean and well managed with loungers around and a lovely view. Parking is available/ Breakfast COVID style works well with pre- ordering and a good selection delivered direct to your table in the breakfast room. Breakfast included some cooked items as well.

After not having a holiday for 6 years and working through the pandemic, I wanted a holiday that had tranquility and seclusion and what I got was a whole lot more. The suites were out of this world - modern, exceptionally spotless, private and having the private pool and the fabulous view was priceless. Every morning breakfast was brought up to you on your terrace having been freshly prepared. All enquiries or help were via WhatsApp whether it be booking a restaurant, ordering breakfast, arranging a taxi and it was all done so promptly. Sophie greeted us at the front of the hotel, as did Koyes who carried our bags to the suite and brought us breakfast each morning. Sophie is an absolute credit to this resort and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day and we were brought complimentary drinks / food and our last day was a huge variety of fresh fruit and a bottle of Prosecco. Huge thank you to Harris our taxi driver who was always early for us and astounded us with his amazing English. Melidonia Suites, thank you for everything. I couldn’t rate it highly enough!

Our second stay in Santorini and wanted somewhere away from heavy tourist footfall. This villa offers different bedroom capacities which are all separate with en suite facilities. Beds are comfy and not too hard. Breakfast is ordered the day before. Our suite was the highest level and afforded beautiful views across the Calder a. Our hot tub was fantastic and everywhere very clean. Walking into the little village of Akrotiri takes about 12 - 15 minutes and is steep in places but there is a path. There are local restaurants and two good quality supermarkets there as well as a pharmacy and bus stop to access the island. Bus fares are 2 euros. Therapy is a 20 minute bus ride away with stunning views en route. The service and attention we received from Marialena and her colleague during our 4 night stay was excellent. Some nights we didn't want to go out but enjoy our room and hot tub. Marialena sent us menus from local restaurants that delivered and we ordered through her.
