Villa Mare Angelica

The location is perfect. Right on the beach, very quiet, and easily accessible by car (a rental car is a must on the island!) from the towns of Fira and Oia. Next to the accommodation is a mini-market for drinks, for example, and a larger supermarket is a little further on foot. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and helpful, offering tips and organizing various leisure activities upon request. We even got an upgrade to a larger room. Free water and Nespresso capsules are provided. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with the breakfast at all. We eat it at the neighboring snack bar. The staff there are (sometimes) nice, but unfortunately, during our entire week, they didn't manage to prepare breakfast (which has to be chosen the day before) correctly even once. Either something was missing or it was done incorrectly. Instead of a fried egg, we got a hard-boiled egg, no selection of sausage or cheese, and the coffee was absolutely undrinkable. The bed was mediocre due to the slightly noticeable springs, and the bathroom could use a complete overhaul. Nevertheless, this accommodation is absolutely recommendable (price, location and, as mentioned above, the hosts).

Georges en Maria zijn gewoon de meest fantastische mensen die we op vakantie al hebben ontmoet! Georges en zijn geweldig breakfast is super! Maria super met haar geweldige tips! Locatie is geweldig gelegen op het strand🤩Veel restaurants en bars in de buurt! Doe vooral het typische restaurantje ‘Lava’ aan op wandelafstand, ver genoeg gaan… zalig! Ook het typische visrestaurantje in haventje(naam even vragen aan Maria) is super! Ook een pluim voor Katherina die elke dag onze studio super poetste! Thanks a lot…👍🤩
