3-Star Hotels in Santo Domingo

The breakfast was really good and delicious. The staff was very friendly just I wrote them in order to change the room but they didnt reply me so I advice they check the messages and reply timely. The bedroom with 1 queen bed was really nice. They didnt have many options for 2 twin beds altought it was clean. AC works very good. Is really well located in downtown area, there are several restaurants and bars just by walking distance.

The experience in the restaurant and housekeeping was the best part of my experience at that hotel service was excellent they went above and beyond. However front desk, upper management horrible one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Santo Domingo, Had maintenance issues ask for assistance with these issues and they were put aside asked for upper management to help which was the manager or assistant manager at the hotel he refused to meet with me on seven locations. Had a representative of my company. Tried to meet with him and we had to wait two days and nothing. I have a whole list of problems I experience at this hotel. #1, Problem was, that front desk staff could not make decisions to keep customers happy everything had to go through the manager and the general manager. #2 I stayed at this hotel for eight days. I was celebrating buying a new business in Santa Domingo and my 60th birthday This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. #3 I asked for a management repeatedly, never had the opportunity to meet with the manager at demanding I speak with someone the general manager agreed to meet with me the last day and when she did, I spoke with her about all the problems that I had she said that she would get back with me That was June 18, 2024.. It’s now July 24 and I’m still waiting on the answer. #4 I’ve been in the hospitality industry, for 45 years as a director of engineering over several high end chain hotels I always known hotel so have been one of the best industries that it is in the world service countries in the US and outside of the US and Europe, Kuwait Iraq and Dubai and I never received any kind of treatment like this from upper management….. she never offered me a resolution to the issues that I have experienced for the entire stay. But most of all this is the part that bothered me the most doing check-in everything is in Spanish. It’s not broken down into any other language. I asked the GM, which was a young lady. Why is everything in Spanish? I don’t know how to read Spanish, but I have translators that would read it for me. She told me when she come to America United States of America. Everything is in English and that I should adjust. That is not something that you say to a customer I chose this hotel for location, convenience to my new business and for my future staff that is coming from the US. I would love for the owner of the hotel to respond or explain to me why is key members of his establishment or her establishment treating customers like this?.

I enjoyed my stay at Novus Plaza. The people are friendly and the breakfast was great. Especially enjoyed talking every morning with Yaritzza. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Excellent location as well. Can walk anywhere in the colonia. The conde is right there.

I have been staying for long time at the Homewood Suites in Santo Domingo, DR. This an excellent hotel, with extremely good customer service. Their personnel go above and beyond to accommodate you and make your stay enjoyable. I recommend this hotel.

The location is a bit complicated because there is a lot of traffic, the hotel was fine, the room was fine but the gym was in very bad condition, it seemed that it was not working, everything was messy and the machines were very old and did not work well.

The rooms were small but nice and very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is great as a departure point for exploring the Zona Colonial, and our room on the third floor was surprisingly quiet above the hustle and bustle of the street. Sweet little balcony too. Decent restaurant and coffee shop on the ground level (unfortunately, with a cigar factory right next door), and several excellent restaurants close by (Jalao and Buche are both highly recommended). This is not a place of great luxury, but the facility was just fine, with a great location at a reasonable price.

Les explico ayer entre a la habitación y no limpiaron para nada baje a la recepción y les pregunté con toda calma porque no limpiaron la habitación el dijo que investigaría y también le dije oh también arréglame el aire, el teléfono y una cortina que se cayó pues nunca mando a nadie a que arreglara tuve que llamar desde mi teléfono todo viajero sabe lo costoso que es cuando hace llamada no me contestan llamo otra vez y me contestan el recepcionista SAÚL y le pregunto si a alguien del servicio (eso es otra cosa que no me comunican nada soy yo que tengo que estar buscando que me den el servicio completo todo es a media) y también le pregunté si me va a mandar a la persona a que arregle lo que le pedí para hacerle el cuento más corto la persona no me arreglo el aire le pedí otra habitación y NO QUISO YO VI LA PÁGINA Y TIENEN DISPONIBLE SOLO QUE NO QUISO CAMBIARLA, me dijo que no tienen disponible tratándome como estupida el recepcionista SAÚL. EL PUNTO ES QUE ELLOS ME DIJERON QUE YO ROMPÍ LA CORTINA DEL ENOJO QUE YO TENÍA cuando eso nunca fue de esa manera y SAÚL BURLÁNDOSE DE MI EN MI CARA. Aquí pagas por un supuesto servicio y NO TE LO DAN. Se la pasan de broma en broma cuando le pides que te ayude no te dicen nada si te lo darán o no tú tiene que investigar por tu propia cuenta porque no trabajan contigo en tus necesidades.

It's just a good value. Stay here often. No really hot showers or very good breakfast... and doesn't start until 8:30. Overall decent.

Very good, suitable for general travel and not suitable for people with high requirements. In a hotel with a star rating of about 3 stars in the United States and a hotel without a star, the conditions are similar. It is not necessary to choose a star. The main location is just fine.
