Sanford Hotels with Pools

Nice room; loved the beautiful tile floor. No carpet. I have allergies so that was wonderful. The only thing I would improve was the full sized bed. Too small for two people. And no breakfast included. But the facility was well taken care of.👍👍 I would definitely stay here again. Plus you get a beautiful view of the lake!!

This hotel is so close to being great. It really needs a good, deep clean. Especially the floors. It just has a general run-down vibe. However, the beds were super comfy!!! And the pillows were heaven. The shower was hot, though a bit slow and the water didn’t drain. The breakfast was excellent, though the area needs updating. The food was really good with lots of great choices. It served our purposes of being close to the airport with a free shuttle. Good price for good sleep and a very nice breakfast. Just don’t expect the Ritz.

We stayed here for 4 days and will definitely be back. Yes, the property shows signs of wear, notably wood furniture in the room, but otherwise in good shape. All of the furniture was operational, ie: drawers still worked fine, drawer pulls were still solidly attached, etc. Aircon was newer and worked very well and was quiet. Bathroom also was showing its age a bit but was clean. The tub had some small rust spots, but was clean. No dust on the lamps or pictures. Beds were comfortable, linens were in good shape. Carpet in the room was also clean and didn't show signs of wear. One of the days we were here, they were shampooing the carpets in the breakfast area and lobby mid-day. Not a disruption, but nice to see they're still keeping up the property. Imran at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially with recommendations around the area. He also mentioned that this hotel will be renovated soon and plans are already underway. As far as issues reported by others recently, yes, there was only one elevator operating when we were there. We were on the top floor and still found the wait time acceptable. Granted, the hotel wasn't full when we were there, but I've waited far longer at other hotels for an elevator before. Ice machine was working on our floor without issue and we were always able to get ice from it. Note that this hotel and other hotels nearby often get booked by groups for youth sports tournaments, and those groups often will fill their coolers before heading out to the fields. The only issues we encountered was one of the bathroom soap dispensers falling off the wall in the middle of the night that woke us up, and the room could have used more lighting, especially at the desk area. Usually SpringHills have a desk lamp. Our room did not. Overall, a good stay and we'd stay again, even without the renovation.

I wish we were allowed to give 1/2 stars. I give this property a 4.5. While Sanford is a lovely town, with great shops and restaurants, many people stay there because they are flying in/out of SFB or using the Auto Train. This hotel is clean and has all the necessities: Guest Laundry, Ice on every floor, Business Center where you can print things out and Guest Laundry. Also, lots of chain restaurants within less than a 5 minute drive (i.e. Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, Outback). While I did not use the airport shuttle, it was sitting outside at 3:40am when I left to drive to the airport to drop off my rental car. That's a good sign. There are several Allegiant flights that leave around 6am so knowing that you can have access to a shuttle at 4am is a welcomed relief. The reason I did not give a ”5” is because the two chairs in my room were older and slightly ragged. The computer chair almost tipped over when I was sitting in it.

I selected this hotel since it's among the newest property in the area with close proximity to Sanford airport. Tired of being disappointed with so many run down outdated hotels, this one did not disappoint being brand new with all the features we could ask for including a pool, well insulated room from any road noise, and a well appointed bathroom design stocked with essentials.  The best breakfast was great as with all Holiday Inn Express hotels along with a good variety and friendly staff, including Jessica, a great general manager who goes above and beyond to assure the best customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this location.  Tip: Being a new hotel, GPS isn't very accurate, so be sure and turn into the Starbucks entrance to avoid missing the turn as we made three attempts to access the hotel using Google maps.

I’m not sure how old this hotel is, but it can’t be very old. It almost seems brand new one of the first things to start off with. Is that using Apple Maps? It could not find it and it took us on a wild ride around Sanford during this time, we were trying to call them to get exact directions because like I said Apple Maps and Google maps wasn’t helping, we were on the phone for about 40 minutes and nobody answered walked into the hotel with the phone still on hold and the person was doing absolutely nothing and when we asked him why he wasn’t answering the phone. He said I’ve been extremely the hotel does not have a main entrance. It is surrounded by restaurants and you go through either a McDonald’s parking lot or a Lonestar steakhouse parking lot to get to the hotel is very weird how it was designed. The hotel was brand new so it was very clean and the room was very nice and it was functional. The one thing that I would say is we were on the fifth floor and it was very loud from the traffic that is going by the hotel so I’m not sure if that was for everybody or just us on the fifth floor. We stayed because we had an early Flight and it was about 20 minutes from the Sanford international airport. Another negative was all the signage says breakfest starts at 6 AM and when we went down there at 6:30 that we were told that breakfast doesn’t open until seven. I get that things change, but you would think it being a brand new hotel that the signage would be correct. overall I would stay here again because price was good and hotel was clean, but don’t expect much above that.
