Channel View Hotel

Stayed here about 3 years ago. Woman was very rude. Food dreadful. Put on family room, mirror was broken and had chips missing. We eat out as the food was dire. Avoid. Put 1 on the rating but I'd rather put a minus thousands if possible.

This was the third place we booked into after water issues with our first two preferences and we really landed on our feet! Gorgeous views, good location and friendly staff. There was an 80s/90s event that weekend which was so much fun and great to feel included. The swimming pool and the sauna were an added bonus and certainly helped to make this the relaxed and fun weekend we intended it to be.

The worst place we have ever stayed. The manager was so rude, walking off ignoring us several times when we tried to speak to her, her attitude was awful. The room was not what we had booked, it was small, outdated, with cheap old furniture and unclean. We made the best of a bad situation and advise you to avoid at all costs, or sleep on the beach under the peir if only place available.

I am at this hotel now staying for 2 nights for a family funeral booked it as it was a good price and we needed 4 rooms. I was a bit worried after reading reviews but I have found the room to be clean and comfortable it is a budget hotel but has everything you need nice clean white linen on the beds we had 2 singles but some others in our group had a double so I guess it's luck of the draw. Nice clean white towels good shower tea& coffee making facilities and only a 5 min walk to the seafront basically it does what it says on the tin! If your after luxury this is not the place for you but if your after a clean cheap hotel in a good location don't let the bad reviews put u off

Stayed for 4 nights with National Holidays. On arrival about 6.30pm, we were allocated our rooms and then went straight into evening meal after a long day travelling. This was 3 courses and was lovely. Each evening you would order your breakfast for the following morning and each morning, you would order your evening meal. All the staff were very friendly and really wanted us all to have a lovely stay there. I personally enjoyed every meal there. Entertainment was put on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening and was good. Our room was at the front on the first floor and had a large bay window. Tea and coffee making facilities were plentiful. Room was comfortable and warm. Overall, I would say this hotel should be 3* and I would stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for making us all feel welcome.

Arrived after an 11 hour journey including the ferry and on arrival here, a lady from the hotel got on the coach to welcome us and said we could have our dinner at 6 30pm instead of 6pm. Very efficiently we were given our room keys and table numbers. Room is cosy, the shower is hot, beds are comfy, pillows soft and the food has been lovely with a good choice of breakfast and dinner menu. Service is always with a smile and the staff are very hard-working and very accommodating if people in our coach party wanted extra items with breakfast etc. Entertainment is provided Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings and is very good for all ages.
