Stayed here on a 5 day coach holiday. Yes, it is dated and needs some improvement but overall we were very happy with our stay here. The food was wonderful and the young people serving us were really friendly and helpful at every meal. I had a single room which was on the small side but then I am only using it to sleep, wash & change in. It was clean and for me that was the main thing. Bathroom suite is a throwback to another decade but functional. Beds are not divan, they are spring which obviously is not to everyones liking. I think people need to reflect on what they are paying and realise its not a 5 star property and adjust accordingly. As I say, I was very happy with the stay here and its only a few minutes walk from the sea front.

This Hotel is a budget coaching holiday, you get what you pay for. The bedrooms are tired and have had a lick of paint on the furniture. The advacdo bathroom has past it’s sell by date, and the showers either do a very slow trickle or it red hot or Luke warm. How ever I could live with that, but the mattresses are diabolical. You can feel every spring, they must be 30 years old and so thin and worn. Most people said they were the worst ones they ever slept on. Considering the ages of most of their visitors it would be a good investment for the hotel. The rooms were extremely hot but you can hire a fan for £10. The staff were all very good and were very helpful. The food wasn’t too bad . The entertainment was good also.

Have just come back from a week staying at The Burlington Hotel, Sandown with G B Tours. I can not praise the hotel highly enough. It was clean and tidy throughout. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. On the first night we had a minor problem with our shower and a leaking toilet. We reported it the next morning and by the time we had got back from our day out it was all fixed. The staff in the dining room were rushed off their feet at times as there was three coach parties in for most of the week, but nothing was too much trouble for them. On our last full day, when there was only our coach party in, a staff member had rung in sick which left just one person on duty in the dining room. But she coped and everyone got their food with little delay. So all in all, a very good week's stay. I would fully recommend this hotel.

Me and my sister spent four nights here and unfortunately we were not impressed!! The room was basic and tired looking, there wasn’t a lot of room to move around or put our cases away! We had twin beds which were very uncomfortable as the mattresses were very thin as well as the pillows and the beds were metal framed so whenever you moved on them they squeaked! When I saw the bathroom it took me right back to the 80’s and the avocado suite I had then, it was so dated with a black toilet seat! The shower was a very small cubicle so not a lot of room to move and the water pressure was poor! It all needs a total overhaul and updating! We were in a room at the front of the hotel and every evening there seemed to be some sort of boy racers driving up and down the street, very noisy at times! The food was average, there was a a hot and cold buffet style breakfast which you served yourself from but the hot stuff was never very warm and the bread for toast was awful, just cheap basic bread! The evening meals were ok but there wasn’t a lot of choice! The staff were very helpful and pleasant though.

My wife and I have just returned from another fantastic stay at the Burlington hotel with GB Tours. Our room was very good, clean and tidy, well stocked with towels, tea, coffee and biscuits. The food again was delicious with a lovely varied menu. It was all well cooked, lovely and hot. A nice touch was the packed lunch which several on our coach took advantage of. All the staff were amazing, efficient and so friendly. The entertainment on three nights was first class with three great singers. A shame so few turned up to listen to them. This was our third stay at the Burlington and hopefully we will be returning next year. Many thanks to Sarah and all her staff for making this another wonderful holiday. Hopefully you will have another great season at the Burlington.

Lovely airy room, lots of fresh towels whenever you needed some. Well stocked with tea, coffee and even had biscuits 😋. The food was lovely with a varied menu. The chef is always able to change it depending on your needs. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and bus stops. I would definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable stay and making my daughters birthday special.

As a frequent traveller in the Uk and abroad I can write this review with a degree of experience and credibility. Where do I start ? On arrival we were slightly early , there was no one at reception and I could wander freely anywhere , for security it was very poor. Onto the room , we booked a family room which was very small with no room to manoeuvre and no dedicated area to store cases. There were very few charging points and no USB points in the room. The room was extremely dated and required new furniture and a good paint . The tv was very small and the bed was extremely uncomfortable with the springs digging in my ribs. The on suite was tiny and was extremely old and required a major update . The shower virtually trickled water and was very poor. The hotel was noisy with guests opposite banging room doors all evening until they were told off by another resident , yes room 43 it was you , get a grip of your kids and have some respect for those around you .. on the Friday a coach turned up and it was clear the entertainment was for them , getting very drunk and keeping us awake until the early hours , some got locked out in the garden . For families with children it was not great and we certainly couldn’t allow our daughter to stay in the entertaining area whilst these people were there. You may say kids shouldn’t be in the var area but that’s where the kids games were so another area would have been better for them . The hotel is clearly using coach trips as a big portion of its revenue which in itself excludes other people. I normally check very thoroughly before booking somewhere and on this occasion I clearly didn’t . The advertising of the hotel also needs verifying as some of the pictures such as the library and garden did not represent the reality . I do understand that the area seems quite run down and the hotel needs to make money but they need to be more accurate on its advertising . Overall the hotel in my opinion needs some serious investment , it needs a more professional culture and the security certainly needs improving . Would I stay again ? Definitely not . The cost wasn’t that expensive and I now know why and in my opinion my review is being very generous having stayed in far better hotels .
