El Golpe de Vista

Incredibly beautiful new restaurant south of El Centro, across from Parque Benito Juarez. Located in El Golpe de Vista hotel. The restaurant is called Terra Vista. Very inventive menu. Every dish we ordered was exceptional. Excellent service.

Hotel El Golpe de Vista is a new small eight room hotel that is situated on the back side of the Rosewood. If you're not looking for all the extras like the pool and tennis courts at the Rosewood, then this hotel has Rosewood luxury at a fraction of the cost. The rooms are spectacular and just as importantly the helpful and very friendly staff make this a great choice. The hotel is located just to the south of the city center and right next to one of the well-known city parks. I had great views to the cathedral from my room. Because it is a small boutique hotel, it currently has limited services however it is in the process of opening a small restaurant on the rooftop which has fantastic views and may be a good choice for meals as well. In any event there's plenty of great restaurants in walking distance to the city center as well as in other hotels such as the Rosewood. The rooms are very well appointed. My room included both a bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower. The room had air conditioning, a well stocked mini bar and even though it was the corner room of a building with two street sides, it was very quiet. I would not hesitate to stay here again. This is a small hotel of only 8 rooms. Our room was spacious with 2 queen beds and a nice sitting area. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower. The room was clean and the front desk staff was very helpful. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. I will definitely stay here again.
