The hotel is located in the city center and is easy to find. It takes less than 10 minutes by taxi to China Street. The hotel facilities are also relatively new. It is worth mentioning that the scenery outside the window is very good! The disadvantages are that there are relatively few types of breakfast and the WiFi speed is average.

The view from the window is better, but you have to take a taxi for meals and other things. Hygiene is very good.

The good thing about the hotel is the reception staff and the big room. Breakfast was poor. Yes, we can put at least a small bottle of water in the room for free, otherwise the $3 bottle is too expensive!

Stayed here as part of Saga tour for 2 nights. Rooms large, clean, bed very comfy. Lovely fluffy towels in really nice bathroom. Breakfast really good. We bought an evening meal (Salmon and chicken & beef fajitas), both absolutely excellent. Waiting staff really attentive and friendly. Very pleasantly surprised at this hotel. Didn't walk anywhere so cannot comment on surrounding area, as our tour coach took us into San Jose for the day. The only thing which could of improved our stay here was quieter air conditioning! It was a bit noisy in the night. Other than that, really good city, business type hotel.

My six hours at the Park Inn Nice clean facilities, hotel customer service less than desirable failed to acknowledge me upon arrival for the first 10 mins I stood right before her. The restaurant and staff were amazing!!! The room as I opened with I needed it for 6 hours. I didn’t get any sleep the room was HOT the AC did nothing. I do hope your first experience in Costa Rica goes better than mine

We were collected from the airport by the hotel which was great. It was late on and we were pretty tried after being on the road for nearly 24 hours. The cost to be collected from the hotel is $45 which you pay to the driver. What you might notice when arriving to this hotel is that there are very few places to eat and drink close by, which is pretty much the case. Check in was straightforward. We were allocated a bedroom on the 9th floor. The room was very spacious, clean with two large, very comfortable double/king beds, large TV, large closet for clothes, safety deposit box, coffee making facilities (you’re out of luck tea drinkers as there is no kettle), a desk for those here on business and decent sized bathroom with a shower. If you are British speaking and don’t understand Spanish (which we shamefully don’t), you won’t find anything to watch on the TV. There are plenty of sockets available that take a US adapter. You can purchase water, snacks, beer and soda from the mini bar, but it’s pretty pricey! There are a couple of little convenience stores around to purchase these things a lot cheaper- please note they will only accept the Costa Rican Colon at these stores. Rooms are cleaned daily and they’ll change your towels daily if you leave them on the floor. WIFI in the room is poor and doesn’t work most of the time, which can be pretty frustrating. It does work in the lobby, bar and restaurant pretty well. The hotel has a restaurant and bar area. The bar closes at 11pm and last food order is at 9:30pm (I think) It’s all priced in the CR colon, but they will accept US dollars. Bar staff and restaurant staff are very friendly. The prices aren’t too bad for a city location hotel. It’s around $16 for 2 draft beers. The restaurant is where breakfast is served. There is a selection of hot Costa Rican cuisine, scrambled eggs, breads, fruit, cheese, spicy cured meats, cakes, cereal, coffee, juices and water. The pool area is nice, very shaded, but there are only 3 beds available. The pool isn’t the warmest, but nice for a dip when you’ve been out in the heat. They will also provide you with pool towels. The hotel will change up to $20 in to Costa Rican currency. The hotel also offers trips (didn’t check this out so unsure of the prices) and has a small gift shop with snacks to purchase. The city centre is around a 30 minute walk and it’s pretty much a straight road there. Personally, I didn’t think there was much to see. If you are from a town in the north west of the UK you’ll get local high street vibes. There are tonnes and tonnes of shops that sell clothes, souvenirs and sports wear. The main attractions are the church, theatre and the animal sanctuary which is pretty cheap to enter, but isn’t open on a Monday. There are plenty of buses that go past the hotel, so this is something you could ask the hotel front desk about. Not sure how much a taxi to and from the centre costs, but I would think in the region of $20-$30 depending on time of da

I stayed at the Park Inn on 3 occasions within a 2 weeks period with Gate-1 Travel. The Uber taxi took 30 minutes from the International Airport(SJO) to the hotel and charged $12US for the transfer. Taxi cost is close to 3 times that of the Uber. The hotel is located in an relatively quiet area. There are a few good restaurants that were few minutes walk from the hotel. I encountered no problem walking to the restaurants. Check-in at the hotel was very cordial, i was acknowledge for being a Radisson member. My assigned rooms in all 3 occasions were basically the same: large rooms, with the typical 4* amenities. The buffet breakfast was palatable but not exceptional. Water pressure was good, internet worked well and the physical fitness gym had an adequate set of equipment. I must complement Angelica Hemandez, Front Desk Manager who helped me resolved a booking issue with *******. And Joseph Acvna who fixed my cell phone. They went beyond their normal responsibilities to help. Both represents the Radisson Corporation well. Check-out was efficient and friendly

The room itself was quite nice, clean, with a rain shower and comfortable beds. The location of the hotel on the other hand was not great. The area felt very unsafe; Everything was gated and boarded up with no lights and homeless were sleeping on every corner. There were no restaurants nearby to eat at, and after a short walk we turned around and had to eat at the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at the Park Inn and we stayed in room 800 on the 8th floor which had 2 windows overlooking in 2 different directions: we could admire the sunrise on the mountains and the sunset of San Jose city from our room and it was very good. Our room was very large and comfortable with all amenities. We had breakfast both days and there was a large choice which catered for all preferences. We had a dinner one evening and the quality of the food was excellent.

Spacious room with 2 double comfy beds perfect for a family with 2 children. 15/20 minutes walking from the city center despite being a very quite area. Gym has the basic and a bit neglected, the pool is ok but overlooked by a building with flats

We started at the Park Inn, for two nights at the beginning of our two weeks trip to Costa Rica. And it ticked all the boxes! Our room was large, clean and functional, with a very comfy bed. A good bathroom, with an excellent 'walk in' shower. Staff were helpful and professional and the RBG Restaurant on the ground floor did very good food. There are a couple of very good local restaurants a short walk from the hotel, should you wish to try them. Overall, a good start to our holiday. Recommended.

Just a nice hotel! Great rooms, Comfy beds. Air conditioning works well Reception staff are fabulously helpful Not too far from city centre Breakfast team are a bit surly and do a fine job and get whatever you ask Water is crazily priced but there’s a big supermarket about 5 mins away Shame about the gym - yes, it has one! But, no bike which is v unusual and it even has a small (v small) pool We liked it so much we’re going back there before flying home 👍😎

Nice stay and comfortable hotel. Facilities were very good and lovely pool area. Whilst a hotel technologist myself, concerned had full access to previous guests Netflix account 😟 Nice offering but unsecured and poorly delivered, lost confidence in security
