Motel 6 San Jose, CA - Convention Center
3.3/524 Reviews
Loved this Motel 6 with microwave ovens and refrigerators. Excellent location on The Alameda convenient to San Jose Arena, restaurants and shopping at Whole Foods and CVS. I always felt safe and secure. Customer Service is more than I expected for Motel 6. Book in advance if you want to guarantee as this location is often sold out.
Quality Inn San Jose Airport-Silicon Valley
4.2/5113 Reviews
This is a typical Quality Inn, but different due to its location. Montegue Expressway is a bustling light industrial area during the day but there is no traffic at night, which makes all the rooms quiet and restful. There are however, absolutely no restaurants or bars anywhere nearby, just a Subway about a mile away across 880 in a Chevron gas station. There is a Valero gas station next door that said it had a food mart, but that's it, so bring your own food and wine and take advantage of the mini fridge and microwave. Also get an upstairs room as you can hear footsteps from above.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Jose Airport

A lot more than what meets the eye when you first pull in! Rooms were very spacious, breakfast was ok except they didn't have the waffle machine working that was sitting on there on the counter, which was kind of big bummer. They also have a full bar but it was closed for whatever reason and not stocked at all. The breakfast and bar were the main reasons we booked this hotel too. Oh and one last thing, someone at the front desk apparently ”accidentally” set off the FIRE ALARM in the entire hotel. At about 1:30AM the fire alarm sirens started blaring. I didn't smell smoke and didn't see or hear any panic when I went outside. I came out of our room and looked down the hallways and there was NO ONE to be found... Searched around (all while deafening sirens are blaring right outside our door) at 1AM and all of a sudden, after about 5 or so minutes of frantically trying to find a fire or anything, the sirens stopped. Extremely confused and also a bit irritated at 2am, we called the front desk after not hearing anything from anyone about if we were in danger or not. They answered finally and we told them that the fire alarm had been going off... The front desk person said ”Yes, we know, we took care of it.” Like it's a normal occurrence and we should've known I guess... So, confused again, we asked ”Sooo, was it just an accident?” And all they replied with was ”Yes.” Without so much as an apology. And that was that So, be prepared, if staying here, that might happen! Just forewarning. 🤷
