This place was absolutely fabulous. It is nestled into the jungle in the best way. The activities are amazing, whether it be canoeing on the property, taking a hike or booking an excursion for the day to Tikal. The staff was the friendliest staff I have ever met at a hotel and they are extremely accommodating. The meals each night were incredible and the drinks are so refreshing. Also they have farm animals on site that you can feed!! Wish we could stay longer!!

We stayed 11 nights. The experiences: - Most important: Super-friendly staff, at the restaurant/bar and office, but also all of the housekeeping/gardening etc. employees on the site. After 2 days it feels like home. - Cabins and bathrooms are perfect clean, functional and cozy. No air condition but the fan does an effective job. - Service: It feels like they read your mind. Example: In the moment, you ask for a canoe at the office, there is already someone down at the river to put it into the water for you. Naturally, the Restaurant service is not standing behind this. - Restaurant: Not an overwhelming mass of choices on the menue - but something for everybody, everyday a changing special (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and everything top prepared! Every day we planned to check the gastronomy in San Ignacio - we never made it, the Restaurant at the site was just to persuading. Winning an extra mention: The cocktails (felt like double the size like in Caye Caulker) from the Bar! Thank you, Oscar! - Jungle flair? Definitively. Even the garden is a jungle. Rely on Howler-Monkeys to howl, Iguanas to stroll around and dozends of different birds to be everywhere. (And big Tarantulas and oll the other nasty crawlers only on the guided night walk.) Go down to the river, take a canoe (included) and head of into the Heart of Darkness... - Tours / activities: The collegues from the reception organized everything for us, after we prepared a list with them at the first evening. They have a lot of own offers with included transportation, but have no problem just to arrange a guide for you, if you have an own car. You never feel pressed/coaxed to do something, you don't need. All tours, they arranged for us were conducted by competent, friendly and reliable partners. The outcome: We didn't believe it, but just trust their homepage! At least for the tours we made, the description was absolutely correct. A perfect medley of Maya ruins, caving and jungle walks. (Attention: "Strenuous walk" on their homepage means in real: Strenuous walk!) Summary: Definitively Perfect.

We had a delightful visit to enjoy a wonderful dining experience thanks to Zack and his team. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different Belize rums and liqueurs, and the drinks were delicious! The restaurant staff was attentive and stopped to point out wildlife climbing in the high trees above the lodge. The menu gave choices between nightly specials and a fixed menu that covered all the bases. The food was delicious and carefully prepared with fresh ingredients, some from the onsite farm and gardens. They arranged a ride for us back to our neighboring lodge. We will certainly consider a stay at Table Rock next time we visit Belize!

We stayed at 5 different lodges in the Cayo district of Belize and this was by far the most unsafe and uncomfortable stay. We booked a Jungle view private cabana called Motmot for over $300 USD per night, which was a big mistake. The room looked very nice, except it did not have any real windows (only screens on all sides) and completely see through curtains. So if you had any light on, even from a laptop or phone, you would be completely visible from the outside. We (two women traveling alone) would be very uncomfortable with being on display anywhere, much less in the middle of the jungle (this was the last cabin facing the jungle). When I raised my concerns to the manager she dismissed them and was very defensive, stating that the website mentioned the room had screens. Yes, but having screens is something expected in the jungle, and it does not mean that it has no windows. They should have specifically stated that 1) there were no windows and 2) curtains were see through, in which case I would have never booked this room. We had to spend over two hours hanging extra blankets and a hammock to make makeshift curtains. That helped with not feeling completely exposed, but it did not provide any sound proofing, so we could not sleep at nights due to spooky jungle sounds. If you want to experience being in a completely see through tent in the middle of the jungle and willing to pay over $300 per night for it, then this place might be for you. Otherwise, it's a total waste of money. I paid over $1000 USD for 3 nights, which was more than a double rate of what I paid for any other lodge in this area, just for us to feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. The only reason I am giving any stars at all is for their restaurant. They have a very talented chef, our meals were comparable to a 4 star restaurant both in terms of taste and plating. They also made delicious vegan meals for my daughter. The staff working in the restaurant were also very nice and made the dining experience very pleasant.

The resort is very nice and clean. Absolute top notch staff that were extremely friendly and helpful...always asking if you needed/wanted anything. I would highly recommend. Do know this place doesn't have air conditioning, so I am not sure how it would be in the super hot summer time. It was very pleasant in mid January when we were there. You had to use blankets at night so sleeping was very pleasant. I am super hot-natured so I really worried about the non A/C going into this, but it was totally not an issue. I was also worried about mosquitoes...also wasn't an issue. I brought mosquito wipes and mosquito bracelets to wear...never got them out of the boxes. I have to say I was going into this out of my comfort zone, but very happy we did it. Great experience!

My husband and I had the most amazing time at Table Rock. Unique intimate environment in the jungle. Excellent accommodations, wonderful food, extraordinary experiences with scheduled outings (ATV to Xunantunich, cave tubing, and amazing Mayan cooking class- highly recommend!), and the best staff. Oscar, Rhoadie, Bianca and the rest of the ladies. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed at Table Rock for 4 nights and had a fantastic time here. The staff, without exception, were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and bar was reasonably priced and the food was home cooked and good, with a couple of different specials to choose from each evening. The lodge grounds are extensive and there is lots of birdlife and animals to see just from trails around the grounds. We saw howler monkeys while tubing along the river from the lodge. The bedroom was clean, very comfortable and had an excellent shower. 100% recommend this lodge!

Table Rock was an outstanding week for my wife and me (active 70s). With 10 cabins it’s intimate yet able to deliver amazing food and great adventures. In fact, the chef Sara creates extraordinarily tasty dishes and readily accommodated special food needs. The fish, chicken, and beef were tender and tasty (as good or better in quality than some of the best in California. The birding and night walking are superb right on the extensive grounds. The house guides are excellent and have top-rate Swavorski binos and spotting scope. We especially appreciated that they accommodated my wife’s sprained ankle with a quiet electric cart birding trip. I noted that the guide they lined up for me to do the ATM Cave trip was the best one among many I saw at the site. In short, we highly recommend Table Rock.
