The Royal Hotel

Wi-Fi is very good.

Pros: spacious, aesthetically pleasing room. Comfortable bed. There are 2 sockets by the bedside table - 1 for a lamp, the 2nd can be used to charge devices. There are sockets for a laptop by the table. There is a stand for a suitcase. The room has 2 bottles of water, a kettle, cups, tea, and supplies are replenished. Heated floor in the bathroom - on a cold day it was really nice. 2 towels for the feet. They walk you from the reception to the room, explaining what is where. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, everything is beautiful. Cons: the cistern makes a lot of noise while pouring water after each flush. The sink has no countertop, there is only a small shelf - there is nowhere to put your cosmetic bag. The most ridiculous thing is that the hair dryer is attached to the wall to the right of the toilet :) The mirror is on the other side of the toilet, small, above the sink, and the wire barely reaches the mirror *hand-face smiley*. Apparently, it was assumed that guests dry their hair without a mirror, sitting on the toilet:)) Everyone in the restaurant is friendly, but it’s as if no one has worked in a restaurant before - neither the waiters, nor the organizers of the space. The cups are not where the tea boiler is, but rather far behind the counter, in the staff area, and you can’t see them. You have to ask every time. The food is not labeled, you have to ask each time what kind of filling is where (there are different pancakes with filling, lavash, etc. - you can’t tell by eye what’s inside). You have to order an omelet, and this is not written anywhere, guess for yourself. I asked what vegetables are put in an omelet - they don’t know, they called the chef to answer. The food and cutlery supplies are not particularly replenished, you have to ask for everything. If you ask, they will do everything, bring it. But you have to ask, the restaurant doesn’t have a well-established service system.

Unfortunately, I cannot share the numerous positive reviews about this hotel. The rooms are large, but they are made in the already forgotten style of European-style renovation and are not very high quality, the toilet was a little wobbly. Do not take a room with windows facing the street. With the window open, you feel like you are sleeping in a parking lot (loud conversations of cleaners, conversations of drivers in the unloading zone in front of the window, running cars, music from parked cars) - no chance of getting enough sleep. If the room is on the first floor, then the located parking lot does not allow you to open the curtains during the day, because there are always people there, and the windows are floor-to-ceiling. Breakfast was a complete disappointment. At the beginning of 10 o'clock there was almost nothing left from the already modest selection. The restaurant in the hotel is generally tolerable, the only thing that confused me was that besides us at 20.00 there was no one else, but overall we were satisfied with the dinner. The price level, as expected in hotels, is above average. On the positive side, I can note that the staff was different, but mostly they tried to help.
