Location makes it easy to walk to Registan Square, good breakfast and food at the hotel and other options are within 15min walk. Would book again.

Estadia quase perfeita, que delicia de hotel!
Hotel muito confortável, lindo, elegante, cheiroso, bem localizado. Quarto grande, ótima vista. Gostei muito de quase tudo. Sigo com lindas memórias desta cidade charmosa.
Deixo duas sugestões:
1: aumentar a temperatura da água do banho;
2: rever os protocolos de limpeza dos quartos. Em especial no meu terceiro dia de estadia (um sábado), foi tão ruim que ficamos em dúvida se a cama havia sido estendida. Os copos continuaram sujos de batom sobre a pia, copos limpos não foram repostos, as toalhas estavam mal dobradas... e mais nada! Nunca vi um serviço tão ruim!

Great 3 nights stay at Movenpick hotel with all amenities. Very convenient and close to the Gour Emir monument (4/5mn by walk) and the Registan square (15/16mn). A lot of cafe and restaurants around the hotel as we didn’t book the hotel breakfast. As we are lazy to dine out, we enjoyed twice diners at the restaurant Caramelle (really juicy manti and tasteful somsa & soups) We tried the sauna (hammam was under reparation) and the fitness. We had pleasant drinks at the pool bar. So we can recommend the Movenpick hotel at Samarkand. And the room rates are very affordable for a 4,5/5* hotel.

shower did not work.
I had to go to sleep without having a shower ..
The maintainers men were fixing the shower until 11.30 pm . My husband did not go to bed until midnight. The delayed going to bed delayed whole of following days itinerary as we woke up about an hour later then our original plan.
complained to reception who said he will send something complimentary in the room. I specifically said anything complimentary but would like some reduction on my stay. At 4pm while we were resting a waiter came with fruit plate saying it was compliments from the hotel. I sent the fruit back saying I did not want it and that I would like to speak to the general manager. The general manager has not got back yet. May be he will get in touch tomorrow morning before I leave

A very unpleasant surprise from a 5-star chain hotel: I am attaching a photo of a dirty floor. It could have been attributed to human error, a sad isolated incident, but as soon as we saw it we asked to change the room, they changed it for us, and in the next one it was no better. And so 3 rooms 😂 in the end we waited for the floors to be washed, because it was important to me that at least there were no other people's hair lying around in clumps. It's a pity that I can't attach a video. I had to go with the maid and concierge to show the hair and dirt on the floor in 3 rooms, such a pleasure after 2 flights.
Pros: good choice at breakfast, cozy bar in the lobby, empty SPA area, although the sauna and hamam were barely warm, unfortunately.
