My wife and I had a meal here last night 12/05/24, to say it was poor is an understatement, I am sure a meal at a transport Cafe would have been very much better. My chiabata served with the meal was burned almost black on one side and subsequently rendered inedible. The meal itself was poor, lacking in taste and having coleslaw served with a lasagne was a poor choice. I shall certainly not visit again even though I live only some 4/5 miles away. My dining friends had a similar disappointing meal, such a pity as the venue is very pleasant.

Stopped off by chance looking for a Sunday roast. Lovely little stop, friendly staff, helpful, polite and welcoming. Ordered belly pork and a turkey roast, best meal we have had in a restaurant in a very long time!! Highly recommended will definitely come again and stay next time in one of their rooms. Very reasonably priced and Pet friendly too!! Thank you

I have eaten here a few times before and it was always good but this time it was even better. Food was really great with some great menu choices. Both our meals were excellent, the prawn curry and lasagne. Lovely location with dogs, a cat and geese wandering around outside!

Most beautiful location slightly off the beaten track. Gorgeous conservatory with grape vine growing in it, perfect place to sit and enjoy lunch as it was a slightly breezy day. Service was very good and the food was absolutely delicious. A plentiful selection of seafood on the menu with unusual twists. Definitely be returning again and thoroughly recommend it.

Popped in for lunch on passing. Staff welcoming and efficient. The food was served promptly and was delivered with a smile. The portion was good and the price was fair at today's rates.

Went for 2 cappuccino's this afternoon, when they came 2 cups of warm milky slosh, my husband went to the bar and said we asked for cappuccinos she said they are they are out of the machine. Disgusting, and then we were charged £7.00 for the slop. We went there last summer and they were fine. Not going back again.

When we arrived there was no welcome . We asked if we could order food How many? Two please. Here's your menus if eating outside you must pay upfront. No please or thank you. The staff member turned to other staff member and said no more walkins we're too busy. The food was the absolute worst meal ever. Nachos were burnt and strategically placed dips to cover the worst burnt bits. One staff member from South Africa was lovely unfortunately she couldn't make up for the lack of customer service from the other staff member. This used to be a lovely place to eat. Is it under new management?

Great food, friendly staff, dog friendly. Even can get a meal on Sunday evenings, which is unusual. Plenty of space and nice views, with play areas for children. There is a large conservatory and books to borrow too!

very nice quaint public house with good food and atmosphere and friendly staff. in the countryside hidden away and a lovely driveway to approach the public house/hotel. It is lovely summer time and in the winter so cozy.
