There were some positives about our stay. The hotel is in a good location but on a busy road. Reception is up a hill although there is a back entrance which can be reached by lifts from inside the hotel which takes you to a flatter area. The public areas are smart, stylish and spotlessly clean. Our room and balcony were large with a great view of the coast. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The fridge was fairly big and worked well. There was a large flat screen smart TV. The lifts were excellent. On the downside; There is some noise from neighbouring rooms particularly when the cleaners are around; the cleaners were very cheerful but did have a habit of leaving the room doors open when they had finished. The smart TV only has BBC 1, 2 and 3 when they are working which wasn’t very often and never seemed to be connected to the internet even when we had WiFi. Wi-Fi wasn’t working during most of our stay and the 5G signal was poor. The air conditioning wasn’t working until the third day. Jet2 say it’s not on until 15 June but the hotel said it should have been working but wasn’t as they were waiting for an engineer to fix it The food was pretty poor quality in our opinion. Dinner starts at 19.30 and there can be queues to get in to the dining room, one morning when we managed to get a table without too much difficulty we saw other guests waiting fifteen minutes on the stairs. If you need a special diet be very careful as the staff tell you there are symbols to indicate what’s in each dish but after some discussion with a manager and the chef it turns out the signs are meaningless; they agreed when we pointed this out and say they will be updated. Be advised that all drinks must be paid for in cash before you leave the dining room Reception is often very busy so you can wait a while to speak to them. In general the staff didn’t seem very happy. Our biggest problem was with the building work going on opposite which really spoiled our holidayJet2 didn’t tell us in advance as they didn’t know about it but you would think the hotel should have told the tour operator about anything which might be an issue for guests. We wouldn’t stay here again
