The staff are very friendly and there are two big lovely beautiful dogs that lounge about on the ground floor :) There is plenty of free parking. The price was very good too, but not so cheap that I would expect it to be unclean. The downside is the room was very smelly (some sort of damp smell but not quite damp smell - not sure) - I tried to air the room out with windows open and fan on and the smell would not go. The bathroom was quite dirty too, which I have uploaded pics of. Breakfast was included in the room fee but if you need to leave early then you may not get any - I asked if they could put out a breakfast grab bag for me, which they confirmed they would do for every morning of my stay, but after the first morning there was no bag and I didn't have time to ask. I'm sure they would have made one up with no problem if I had time to ask, but the issue is at check in it had already been confirmed it would be made. Also here was no door sign to ask for no housekeeping/do not disturb so housekeeping came into my room while I was sleeping which they did apologise for.

An honest review. I'm somewhat surprised having read the reviews before I booked that it was the sane hotel..Staff lovely, location good. Parking good, breakfast very good. However the room was awful, it was larger than we thought and had more features, however I'd have preferred a smaller room in better condition, I think they get away with the state by offering more...not toiletries thou there not supplied. The spa bath was grimy and when turns on filth came out of the jets, see photo the overflow was broken and dirty , the shower ..well showers one did not get hot with hoses filthy but proper filth , mould on tiles, shower door did not close..why not just put one actual easy to clean shower in..leak on floor.. carpets genuinely filthy , I was woken up with a bad smell, whole room smelt. Table leg broken, plug sockets burnt, wall paper coming off...stairs musty....seriously don't book thst room out, get it cleaned and replace that stinky carpet...oh yes and bed the cover has come off the mattress do just foam...

Excellent hotel and staff. Quirky in parts. I had one of the suites with the massive jacuzzi. The menu is limited but very tasty,I had two lovely starters. I recommend the samosa, one of the best I've ever had. As for the bed.... I slept like a log on the quirky round bed I would recommend this hotel, great location with some bats flying around just before dusk.

Gray Manor Hotel is in a lovely setting. Our room was a bit tired, the bed was too soft for us (either by design or aged) and the bathroom desperately needed an update ... and the toilet paper dispenser moving from behind your right shoulder! The shower screen did little to retain the water in the bath area and the shower head did not sit in the mount. Honestly, not great.
Positives - the staff are great, all very friendly. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice, great products and well cooked.

There was a lovely welcome from the two dogs that live on site. The staff I encountered were all extremely pleasant and friendly. I had the best cooked breakfast I have had for a very long time.

Nice hotel in beautiful grounds.
Nice hotel for 1 night stay before Skydiving experience which is only 15 mind away. Really friendly and helpful staff, rooms a little tired but comfortable.
