Caboose

The Caboose staff were incredibly friendly and made our stay enjoyable. However, the experience could be improved with a few more amenities, and the bed could have been a bit larger. We enjoyed our breakfast and they gave us free cookies in the evening.

The best thing was the air conditioning and the location.

A quirky little place, ideally situated by the railway station and local shops and more importantly for us, the Salisbury Playhouse. You would never know that you are across the road from the railway station due to good windows! Room was decent size with much needed air-conditioning due to our stay being in the middle of a heatwave! For such an old building, we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the bathroom, which had a lovely double shower and a good selection of toiletries. Cooked and continental breakfast provided in their lovely air-conditioned parlour. Only had coffee on this occasion so cannot comment on food, however a couple who were having breakfast seemed to enjoy it and the lovely smells emanating from the kitchen were very inviting! I hope to indulge next time. James met us on arrival, very friendly and welcoming. No bar on site but linked to Hetty Bells literally a few seconds walk away which had a lovely beer garden, good service and a good selection of beers. They will also look after your bags after check out should you want to discover more of Salisbury before you go home. Overall we would heartily recommend this place and will most certainly book in again should we go to the Playhouse. Thank you James and your excellent staff.

Unfortunately, we spent only one night at this lovely place, we‘d have loved to stay longer! A lot of attention to detail has gone into the decoration of the rooms, giving them a very cozy feel. Additionally, staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, making you immediately feel at home.
