Mercure Salisbury White Hart Hotel

There are quite a few moths flying around in the room. People are nice.

Just what we expected , excellent staff , very helpful and attentive

Room was cramped and worn. Huge flowing dusty drapes fouled the air. There was an air conditioner- which was great- except it was right above my head and couldn’t be turned off via the thermostat on the device. It did not work. The room was locks as a meat locker. I called the desk and they came up at midnight and turned the air conditioner popp off. I removed my robe and hooded coat and at last slept. Bathroom is lovely. Should have slept in the tub?

I contacted this hotel multiple times via email to request additional information ahead of my planned family holiday in Salisbury next month, which was meant to celebrate my child’s birthday. Despite several follow-ups via both email and WhatsApp, I received no response whatsoever. Due to this complete lack of communication, I was unable to proceed with the booking, as I needed clarification on room options available with my Accor Gold membership. Unfortunately, the specific room types I was interested in have since sold out due to no response from this hotel, which has severely disrupted our travel plans. I will now look for another hotel that can offer better service and responsiveness. This has been a deeply disappointing experience. I have never encountered such poor service from any hotel before. If email communication is not monitored or supported, it should not be listed as a contact option on the website or app. I rely on email over phone calls for trip planning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their responsiveness going forward. I will avoid this hotel given their extremely poor communication.
