Having spent our honeymoon in Guernsey in August 1969, we returned this year to celebrate our 55th anniversary! We were delighted with our stay at Les Rocquettes, our superior room had a lovely view across the gardens and a spacious balcony. The weather wasn't brilliant for our 3 day stay so we didn't use the balcony as much as we would have liked, but being able to go to the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was a real bonus on rainy afternoons. The food was excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and 2 evening meals. Plenty of choice and a reasonable price. The staff were lovely - so chatty and helpful, it really helps to make a holiday when people are so pleasant. Especial thanks to Davis and all the team in the bars/restaurants and the lovely ladies on reception. The only reason I marked the hotel down for location is because it is a bit of a way out of town. A suggested 20 minute walk is, I think, a bit optimistic, especially for a more mature (well, old!) person like me! However, the bus service is very good, stops just outside, and there's a free hotel shuttle bus which leaves at 9.20am and 10am going into St Peter Port. Reception will arrange taxis for you. Our 3 days passed all too quickly , so thanks to everyone again for a wonderful break.
