Appletree

A wonderful studio apartment with everything you could want. Lovely fitted kitchen, fridge, oven, hob, plenty of cutlery, crockery , pans etc. Nice comfy bed and a lovely ensuite shower and toilet and a very handy welcome pack. Appletree is a 5 minute walk down to the harbour where boats to all the islands can be taken. Carmen, the owner, is delightful and very helpful with tips about the islands. We'd love to go back and would have no hesitation in booking Appletree again.

We had a wonderful stay at Appletree finding the studio apartment to be comfortable spacious and relaxing - and so quiet. Its proximity to Hugh Town, beaches, the quay and a short walk from old town made it ideal. Carmen was a warm friendly and helpful host - thank you. We loved our jet boat trip to Tresco and found the scenery to be stunning. We would recommend Appletree.

Great location, fantastic property which is set out really well complete with all the facilities you would need for an enjoyable stay. Great hosts with excellent communication. We can’t wait to come back!

On arrival, Carmen was very welcoming and spent time discussing the accommodation and the things to see and do on the islands. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation as it was of a higher standard than the photos suggested, particularly the kitchen which was fully equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. It was spotlessly clean. All in all, we had a lovely experience at Appletree and on the islands and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

We went with a walking group of 18 staying in different self catering accommodation. Studio was clean, well equipped and had wonderful views. The booking was made about 11 months prior to our visit and I asked if it was possible to have 3 extra pillows. I was informed the studio had 4 pillows and no more were available so I had to transport my own nearly 500 miles! Out of at least 42 holidays this is only the second time I have been refused extra pillows! Appletree is advertised having WiFi however, the visitors book states “Do not stream films etc as this will slow down our Broadband for all house occupants! Please note: I do occasionally monitor usage. Should WiFi be advertised? Appletree was much more expensive to similar accommodation within our group and for the reasons already stated I don’t think it was good value for money.
