Overall it is a solid 4.5 star hotel and experience. The location is unbeatable, with breath-taking beach and sea view just off the front desk, as well as our beach room. The beach room is highly recommended for someone into the ocean view. The facility and staff are great. The Mercado even sells medicine (we got Gasvicon) which my wife could use the day we were there. The only downside that makes it not a full 5 star is that the room, decoration, and furniture are a bit outdated.

Our third time here. Exceptional. Staff and service top notch. Always sun loungers available. Stayed in 3 bed garden house. Beautiful. If you come here, nothing else will ever come close. Try to stay off peak, it is very pricey, but you get what you pay for. We'll be back.

+ Great family friendly resort + Using half board we enjoyed a wide variety of dishes across the 3 restaurants, not going half board would have been a lot more expensive. + Garden houses have huge private garden + Great area for cycling, the bikes are from musette bikes. Book in advance to get the bike you want/need. + Kids club was great and the coloring stations in the restaurants were a success too. Be sure to book in advance. + We were slightly before the true high season but it never felt too busy anywhere in the resort during our stay + Just a few steps from the resort takes you hiking along the dramatic coastal cliffs. - The oasis pool is adult only, although mentioned on the site it came as a surprise to us and small disappointment when staying in one of the garden houses - Don't expect too much from the town of Sagres but nearby Lagos is also good for exploring. - Avoid the local intermarche as the prices are so inflated you might as well just shop in the Martinhal convenience store - The bikes for small kids (14") are too heavy for young kids in combination with some of the small hills around the resort Our holiday wasn't cheap but neither was the experience.

Amazing resort, we had a wonderful time, the accommodation and facilities are top class and the beach is beautiful. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The surrounding area of Sagres is also worth exploring, lots of lovely restaurants with amazing freshly caught fish cooked over charcoal.

All was well until I got a horrible food poisoning after eating in the main restaurant (tuna burger). I understand November is a low season but the hygiene and food standards have to be kept. After being sick all night I am glad none of my children got ill after eating at the resort restaurant. The hotel provided me with electrolytes and asked if I wanted anything else from the menu to make up for this but I couldn't not force myself to eat there again. All in all a beautiful resort but this experience has unfortunately ruined my stay and we probably will not be returning to beautiful Sagres.
