Aparthotel Playa Dorada

We didn't actually stay here, but the very kind and helpful lady at reception booked us a taxi as my friend took not well in the heat back to our hotel in Callar Millor. So Thank you from the 3 of us you were a life saver.

The hotel is based at the nice location, modern,clean and spacy. Good value for money. I would definitely recommend if it wasn't for loud entertainment all the time. I'm half way through my stay and already exhausted. Banging loud microphone screaming entertainers every evening until 11 pm, unable to hold a conversation even at the balcony's apartment, unable to watch a movie indoors with the apartment balcony doors closed, unable to read a book. Non stop music at the pool, loud also, can't even get a nap at the hotel room during the day. If I wanted to go to Ibiza or Magaluf to party hard with no sleep I would. Management please take note! Volume adjustment and letting people relax at your hotel should be you priority, not overwhelming your guests with loud noise at all times. I would not return here only because of that! Otherwise I would recommend it!

Just returned from a beautiful 4 nights stay here. We thought it was lovely. The room we had a big clean and the air con was very welcomed as it was very hot! Stunning sea view. The evening entertainment was ace especially the uptown band. Food was okay definitely something for everyone. We didn't struggle to find something we liked. Staff were polite and helpful. Was a nice atmosphere here. Easy to access the local restaurants, beach, and airport transfers only took 1hr from palma. Was definitely sad to leave. Would definitely recommend the roof terrace for a more quiet chilled sunbathing experience. We didn't see anyone on there during our stay. Overall I'd recommend to others. We stayed 1st floor room 106 and it was lovely.

The hotel looks fantastic from the pictures, but in reality this hotel is the worst I’ve stayed in. The reception looks fancy, but everything else is absolutely disgraceful. We checked in on Saturday into a room that we thought was going to be gorgeous. Turns out there was electrical hazards in our room, rust, dust, mould, no air con, shower head holder was broken, the safe was broken, rooms were not cleaned properly. The balcony in both rooms also had rust, cracks, and dirt everywhere. Our hotel room door also didn’t close properly, we had to slam it shut and even with that it could still be opened from the outside. We rarely saw cleaners going around the hotel. our room was just thrown together quickly without cleaning up to standard for guests. Our room was only cleaned twice over the 5 nights we stayed. We also had to go down to reception to ask for clean towels as ours weren’t changed. Staff were very rude at the reception when we went down twice to complain about the room. We were told to wait until the next day for the air con to be looked at. Keep in mind the day / night was 28-32 degrees. There was no way we could sleep in that heat. We got another room and was told it was “our lucky day” one of the receptionist practically threw the room keys at us. The new room we got was better especially because it had working air con. When we went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there was a poor choice of food. Some of the food was cold, plates were dirty, and the same with the cutlery. We ended up not even eating in the hotel after paying for all inclusive. This is absolutely disgraceful as there wasn’t many choices for food. My boyfriend got pork steak pieces, and they were cold, rock solid, and you could not chew it what’s so ever. I am ever disappointed with my stay in this hotel. Everything looks really good from the reception, but when you go to the rooms, pool, sun lounges, and dining room, it’s an absolute disgrace. It was definitely not worth the money we paid for this. We stayed here 5 nights and will never return to this hotel.

Forget what else you might read ..this hotel is absolutely great for a 3 star...we were made welcome from the start...its very clean and the staff exceptional...and friendly....all staff from cleaners to receptionist...do a fantastic job and work hard and tirelessly....no complaints whatsoever...definitely worth going back again...a big shout out to Ishmael the barman and joanna who seemed to work each department...both always with a smile ... one of the best holidays we have had... many thanks to everyone at playa dorado..keep it going..

We booked this as a last minute holiday and was overall very happy with our stay. The location was great, just a short walk to both S’Illot & Sa Coma, and located directly on the beach front. Our room was modern and had a great view of the beach front. The only downfall to the room was the bathroom which was a little bit dated. The pool area was nice, and we never struggled for a sunbed and there are plenty of umbrellas. The only problem we thought was you could sit the sunbeds up it was just flat, I would suggest taking a blow up pillow for the pool to make it more comfortable. The drinks were great, there was a choice of cocktails on the all inclusive and we thought all of them were lovely! The bar staff were very friendly. I am a fussy eater so I did struggle with the food some days as it was mainly fish and not always a great variety of food. If you are looking for lots of entertainment/animation it might not be the best choice. There was just water polo at 4, and a mini disco in the evenings. Occasionally there was a band on after and a parrot show once. We would return in future!
