Prima hotel.

The facility is very large! It is located 200 meters from the beach, which can be reached on foot through the city centre. The food is good, I booked an all inclusive. All meals are buffet style. A varied buffet that satisfies everyone. Fresh fish and meat every day, grilled but also baked. The swimming pool is already invaded from 8.00 in the morning by the Germans, who also have a monopoly on activities and entertainment. All rigorously adapted to German culture.

This hotel is highly recommended, we had a really nice, large and spacious room. With air conditioning in that room, a very nice shower and more than enough space and even with 2 balconies and that for only 2 people. The food was really tasty and hot. There was a lot of choice with cold and warm dishes, so something for everyone and different food every day, which also kept it nice and varied. In addition, there was 1 pool table, 1 football field, volleyball field and a fantastic large swimming pool with fine clear water in it. Only thing missing are slides. The shows in the evenings were also very good and varied. There were always other acts, such as a magician, musicians, animation team performed themselves, folk singers and more. Staff was also quick and friendly, keeping everything neat and tidy throughout the day. We really give the hotel a solid 8.5. Beach was also close by and it was only a 300 meter walk, during that walk you will come across all kinds of shops where you can also take a look. As an extra activity we did a buggy tour, we had never done this before and it was a really cool tour, lasting 3 hours.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Our room was beautiful: separate bedroom and living room with kitchenette. Large balcony. Staff are very friendly. Hygiene is also fine. But…. Everything is aimed at Germans. Who are in the majority with at least 95 percent. The staff speaks German. The entertainment is provided by Germans. I have nothing against Germans. But it would have been better to go on holiday to Germany. The food is fine, but again very German. Apple strudel and pork belly. 😜 Everything here is also indicated in German what it is. We were outside the school holidays, but the restaurant was teeming with small children under the age of 4; screaming, running, screaming, it was like a playground. We didn't know how fast we had to get out.

The vendors / hecklers were so bad, it ruined the whole day. People walking up constantly trying to sell something or offer massages. One even offered a happy ending.... I told our tour guide, she asked them to stop. A whole new batch approached us 5 min. later. If something doesn't change, I will never go to this island again.

The Orient Beach sells itself as a 4* hotel, but ultimately only offers the services of a 3* hotel. Overall, the whole hotel is pretty shabby and you can't look too closely. The family room is too small for two adults and two small children, how could it fit with two school children/teenagers? The room only has a rickety built-in wardrobe, the sliding doors of which are barely movable. Otherwise, there is no decent storage space or shelves. We didn't know where to put the children's clothes. The bathroom is tiny. Here too, there are no shelves or a few hooks for clothes and towels. The air conditioning rattles and hums all night, but unfortunately doesn't cool. It was impossible to open the balcony doors due to the excessive noise from the evening entertainment program. The entertainment officially ends at 11 p.m., but of course drunken partygoers don't go to the room then. We found the noise really annoying, as the noise from outside seemed to penetrate the room unfiltered. The mattresses in our room were absolutely worn out and so terribly uncomfortable that we now have back and neck pain. When it comes to the so-called double bed, you should know that these are single beds pushed together and the mattresses slide off the frame at night when you turn over. There is a small sink, a microwave, a refrigerator and an extractor hood (what is it for, actually?) in the room. The hotel is firmly in German hands: so if you only want to hear and speak German when you are abroad, this is the right place for you! However, this also implies that the good German holidaymaker will of course trudge to the pool loungers at 7 a.m. armed with a towel. Reserving loungers is prohibited, but that doesn't bother anyone. Except perhaps those who would also like to go to the pool but stick to the reservation ban and therefore don't get a lounger or chair at 8:30 a.m. The smoking ban at the pool is also seen as a recommendation. Overall, the crowd was very Ballermann-worthy, which we hadn't expected, especially not for the price of the trip. We thought the food was good. There are Antilop high chairs for small children. That's great. The selection of food is limited, but sufficient and tasty. In 10 days we only had one small *** moment at the buffet when there was meat loaf with egg. The staff were friendly and very stressed. WiFi is free, you get a code at reception. Pool towels are available for a deposit, but we didn't use them. In summary: the hotel is OK. But it's not 4 stars. And we wouldn't go there again
