This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations in all areas, except the main restaurant which was as expected for the price we paid. Also the check in was efficient and possibly best check-in experience I’ve ever had!! The bedrooms are large and clean. They look recently refurbished as the bathrooms are modern and all in all the bedroom was better than many of the more expensive hotels I usually stay in. The pool is great! Water a good temperature and the wet bubble / jumping pillow provides hours of fun. The lifeguards allow loads of fun to be had, and everyone enjoying themselves even when the pool was busy. People do reserve sun beds, but they do in most places like this. The staff are nice and although the restaurant is small, noisy and the tables are too close together, the staff do the best they can and are very helpful. The wine in the restaurant (from the machines) is unpalatable, particularly the red. We don’t like buffets at the best of times, but we knew what the restaurant would be like when we paid £2400 ish for a week AI for a family of four in the summer holidays (flights extra). We tried four of the themed restaurants, and although two of them were buffets they were a much more pleasant experience than the main restaurant and luckily we only ate dinner in the main restaurant one night. Goa was fantastic and the atmosphere at La Fontana was lovely. I read other reviews before coming and I really think people have unrealistic expectations as this hotel is brilliant value for money, and the only thing I thought was not great was paying 46euros to use the hotel ‘water park’ La Reserva but since everything else was great with our holiday I wasn’t too bothered about that. There’s so many activities at the hotel, which we mostly didn’t do as we spent a lot of time at the beach which is very close. I’m sure we will be coming back here and will do them next time. Silent disco and the mini golf were highlights, and thanks to the staff for making this a great extra holiday for us.

An exceptionally well-maintained and clean hotel with friendly staff. A big plus for the efficient air conditioning both in the hotel and in the rooms. With 35 degrees outside, it was cool and pleasant inside. The food was tasty, though after 10 days it started to feel a bit repetitive. It's just a 5-minute walk to a beautiful beach. Another plus for the children's attractions within the Protur complex. The pool area at the hotel itself is usable until around 10 a.m. After that, the children's zone (with the inflatable slide ball) becomes complete chaos, with no real supervision from the lifeguard. Adults (sometimes severely overweight) climb onto the ball and jump off it, while small children are playing nearby. This creates a HUGE risk for the little ones. A tragedy could truly happen here. I personally witnessed several very dangerous situations. If someone plans to mainly use the pools, I recommend thinking twice.

My friend and I have just returned from our second visit to this hotel (3 years apart) and it did not disappoint. Check in was seamless and the rooms are very spacious and clean with kettle and large fridge, my only suggestion here is that a couple of bottles of complimentary water on arrival would be a welcome touch. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working, we reported this to reception and by the time we returned from dinner it was fixed !! The pool, a pet hate is the rush for a sun lounger, well not here … perhaps down to the time of year we have visited but there were plenty even at mid morning. We enjoyed the daily aqua gym and stretching. The restaurant, I agree can be very chaotic at peak times but we tended to eat towards the end of service and could usually get a table outside which was less noisy. Overall we found the food options good particularly at breakfast and lunch. We ate at Goa and Scilia for dinner both table service and the food was excellent, highly recommended!! We also tried Country Grill (buffet) but that was a little disappointing unfortunately. Overall a great holiday with plans to return.

We are a couple in our late 20s who have been on a fair few Tui all inclusive holidays before. Protur Vista Badia is, without doubt, the most disappointed we’ve ever been with a hotel. We checked in during the early hours of the morning. At most hotels, you’d expect at least a drink and a small snack when arriving outside of meal times, but nothing was offered. No help with bags, no guidance to the room. When we finally got there, the fridge was empty – so we went to bed hungry and thirsty after a long day of travelling. The room itself was fine – decent size, basic décor, but clean and with a nice bathroom and good shower. The wider hotel is also clean and tidy, but that’s about the only real positive. The pool was always completely dominated by children. Don’t expect to actually swim – it was full of balls, floats, and shouting all day. Even the activities like water polo were overrun with kids, so not much on offer for adults. The biggest let-down, though, was the food and dining experience. Other reviews mention it, but nothing prepares you for how chaotic the buffet is. Tables crammed inches apart, prams lined up outside, children screaming and darting around. Even outside school holidays it was a madhouse – my wife and I couldn’t even have a conversation at mealtimes because of the noise. The food itself? Poor quality and repetitive – think school dinners, not 4-star dining. Sa Coma as a resort is also quite tired and tacky – it felt more Benidorm than Balearics. Evening entertainment was typical all-inclusive fare, but again overcrowded – we never once managed to get a table where we could actually see the stage. Another frustration is that much of what’s advertised isn’t even in this hotel – the spa is at the TUI Blue, tennis courts are over the road, and so on. Vista Badia is basically just a block of rooms with a dining hall wrapped around a pool. And the all-inclusive policy is, frankly, unfair. Your wristband is cut off at check-out (midday), even if you have a late flight. We weren’t allowed food or drinks for the nine hours we waited for our transfer – despite the fact we’d already missed out on our first night’s entitlement when we arrived in the early hours. Staff themselves were generally pleasant, but the overall atmosphere in the hotel was rude and frantic. It felt like survival of the fittest, particularly in the dining room, which made for a stressful holiday. I honestly don’t know how this hotel is rated 4 stars. When it’s next reassessed, I’d be amazed if it doesn’t drop to 3. Unless you’re looking for somewhere your kids can run wild while you put up with chaos, I’d book elsewhere.
