Heritage Hotel Villa Valdibora

The room was large, normal bathroom and central location. Excellent service with electric shuttle which allows for convenient arrival with luggage. I know that outside Italy you have to expect a lower standard, but considering the excessive price paid in June, the absence of a real breakfast and the staff not being present all the time make it seem more like a B&B. Parking expensive, 1 euro per hour without the possibility of leaving the car with a daily pass

We booked through a well-known site, clearly relying on this portal which showed us among the photos those provided by them (certainly taken by a photographer) for a classic double room. Once in Rovinj, parking as much as possible towards the center (2€/h 24 hours a day) by calling they came to pick us up for our luggage with a very comfortable electric car also because you can't go to the historic center by car. The hotel, in the narrow streets of the historic center, is in an ancient building without a lift, although at the beginning we had been given a room that we didn't like at all and far from the standards of a 4 star (especially small and with some inefficiencies to internal devices) and therefore after our complaints pointing out that the photos shown online were very different, the staff, supported by an excellent customer service, 48 hours later gave us the opportunity to go to a room in a other part of the hotel; Much more spacious certainly and with the bathroom wall which, unlike the previous room, was made of brick and not glass with a sliding door. According to the staff, the new room provided to us was expected to cost much more than ours. Daily cleaning not excellent, and soundproofing for noise and odors reviewable. Friendly and helpful staff even if not all of them speak English fluently. Breakfast was a little uncomfortable given the limited spaces and not advantaged by the presence of a huge antique wooden wardrobe with a door that you have to open every time you need to take something. Let's say that everything is always at risk of falling to the ground. The products in the context, although always repeated, were of good quality. Excellent location of the hotel, a stone's throw from the main places of interest. Certainly, given the significant expense, the quality-price ratio did not satisfy us for a 4-star hotel.
