Nadat ik mijn kinderen naar het vliegveld had gebracht en nog een uurtje tijd had voordat ik ging werken, heb ik ontbeten bij Van der Valk Blijdorp. Op een steenworp afstand van mijn werk. Ik heb een ontbijtvoucher gekocht en ben om 06.00 uur naar het buffet gegaan. Dat was een héérlijk 3-gangen ontbijt!

Needs updating! Carpet in room looked like it hadn't been changed or cleaned in eons. Rainfall shower dripped even when not in use. Either burn marks or something was stuck on multiple pieces of furniture.

We've visited many van der Valk hotels, but this one is nowhere near as good. The room was cold and difficult to regulate. The mattresses (room 414) were saggy. We had a package with two three-course meals. The taste was very good. On the first evening, we had to wait ages for the courses; on Saturday, it was so quick that the first course hadn't been cleared away before the next one was served. Some of the staff were arrogant and not inattentive. They lacked the warmth that we had at van der Valk Goes or Nijmegen, for example. We won't be coming back. Everything was super clean and the ambience was pleasantly pleasant.

Terrible managers at the restaurant. Today I went out for a nice night with my family, just to have lunch. There were 12 people there, three of whom were managers. They looked at us strangely when we didn't want to sit outside; it was too cold for a 9-month-old baby. Once inside, we waited 20 minutes, and not a single staff member came to our table, not even when the little girl was crying. Even the managers and staff looked at us. Finally, I had to get the menu myself, looked at it, and decided to leave after 20 minutes. Worthless!! I definitely don't recommend this restaurant. The reception staff were friendly, very sweet and helpful. Nothing to complain about.
