At Robertson House, we are welcomed as at home! A haven of peace in a bustling city. Close to everything, a warm and simple welcome in this 4-bedroom house, with a continental breakfast and music. Our room, the Blue bedroom, was spacious and comfortable. Parking in front of the house. We recommend!

We stayed 3 nights in the Green Room and were very disappointed. The greeting was very neutral, after that we didn't see much of the operators. The bathroom is in a kind of veranda where there is no window to open. The toilet and sink were dirty and on the 1st morning a large cockroach greeted us. When we commented on this, the operator said Rotorua had a problem with cockroaches. There is no closet or wall hook in the room. The room faces south and there is neither a fan nor air conditioning and in the bathroom it is 20 degrees outside and the sun is 35 degrees. The breakfast is ok. Even though it's the oldest house in town, there's more to it than that. If you read the reviews on the various platforms, everyone must have lived in a different house.

The beautiful house is just a short walk from downtown, the water and thermal areas. The hosts are incredibly friendly and the house cat is very cuddly (although this does not make the accommodation allergy-friendly). The rooms are individually and comfortably furnished - you can feel very comfortable there. The bathrooms appear almost majestic, but are unfortunately very cold due to their "conservatory location" (this could be remedied with a simple radiant heater, as we often had in other B&Bs in NZ). We felt very well looked after and would have liked to have stayed longer.
