I stayed for several days, the room is good, the kitchen utensils are also very complete, there is an electric blanket on the bed, and someone helps us to clean up the room and change the towels, I really feel good 👌👍

Lodge was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Lovely lake views and walls on the beach. Spa pool was amazing on a sunny afternoon. Hotel is quite a way from town ( much too far to walk) but access to town was easy and parking in town is not a problem.

This hotel has a good environment and good hygiene. The boss is Chinese, so he takes every detail into consideration. The Bannick salmon in the morning was delicious. It's a 5-minute drive from the town center. You can call a taxi for SGD 20. The only problem is that the room rates are quite high compared to other hotels in town. You can consider it if you are not short of money, and the experience is good.

We came away on a short vacation and were recommended this hotel by family. We were not disappointed! The service was great, the spa was wonderful and the beds were super comfy. The variety at continental breakfast was pretty good and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend them!

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family including an infant. Room was pretty spacious. Staff was friendly.
Unfortunately, there seems to be bed bugs or dust mites on the floor carpet as I got plenty of bites around my ankle. Went ahead to inform the front desk but I was told that there were absolutely no bed bugs in the hotel. Overall room is ok except for the cleanliness.

The hotel used to be a private mansion with every detail. The hotel is facing Lake Rotorua, the room has a wide view, five minutes drive from the skyline and ten minutes from the downtown. The hotel has its own paddock, where horses and sheep graze leisurely on the slopes. Breakfast can be cooked to order, and the lamb in the kiwi breakfast is very good. It was very comfortable to take a walk in the courtyard after eating breakfast. The hotel staff was warm and considerate. Some regrets were that because of the self-service on the skyline, I didn't try the dinner at the hotel. I have a chance to try it next time. There is a study room on the second floor of the hotel. There is a 200-page world map on the table. It has been turned over and confirmed that there is no less in China.

The room is very large and duplex. It can accommodate 6 people no problem. You can cook and take a hot spring bath. The car can be parked directly at the door of the house. Picking up things is convenient and free. There is a supermarket not far away. You can go to the supermarket first when you arrive at the hotel and chat in the evening. It's very pleasant to chat while drinking. You can stop and have a rest when passing through the iron town on the way. Ice cream is recommended, but only cash is accepted.

Wayne & Ingrid - Lodge Owners are hands on and incredibly attentive. The Lodge is clean and comfortable. The towels are super plush and the bathroom amenities are Molton Brown. Food is 5 Star! Chef’s are outstanding. We went trout fishing with Bob - we caught 15 pounds of trout. Bob was funny, informative and probably the best fisherman in Rotarura. The boat is big, comfortable and has excellent fishing equipment and technology. Our preplanned cycling tour got canceled. Wayne stepped up and found us an alternative and I must say it was the highlight of our trip so far in NZ. The bikes were top notch and the mountain bike trails were incredible with all levels accommodated for.

Very suitable to choose where to stay, the parking lot needs to be booked in advance, the front desk service attitude is really good, you can walk to the Polynesian Spa, the location is very good, not far from the Government Garden. Not a one time stay, it is a recommended hotel.

GGuest UserThe positives first: The hotel is not terrible. It was not our first choice, but we ended up booking here, as well as booking our friends we were meeting here and another couple joined us for one night and paid for a room. We alerted the manager and he put us all on the the same floor, with a lake view. The room was clean. A little tight on space, but this is not a negative. Staff were friendly. The negatives: NO HOT WATER!! We stayed for 4 nights. One person out of 6 had a hot shower, as he showered just after we arrived. That was the last hot shower. The water was progressively colder, each day. And it was the whole hotel. This was the topic of conversation with every other hotel guest we happened to meet in the lift. We complained, every day. At each stage, we were told they were... waiting for someone to turn up...the problem was fixed but because everyone kept using the water it could not warm up...the problem was not fixed, they were waiting for someone from somewhere else. I think they had no idea and I did feel sorry for the staff, but a hot shower is absolutely a basic requirement. At no stage was there a note slipped under the door to apologise and ask us to bear with them. It was incredibly frustrating. It seems petty after this to mention the bathrooms also need a bit of care and smell very mildewy, but if it were not for the hot water issue, this would have been my main complaint. The last thing to mention, it rained the whole time we were there and the Ibis has no lounge area. We ended up sitting in one of the rooms, as a group, having a natter, like high schoolers. This is more of a Rotorua problem, though, as Rotorua seemed to shut down early and there was no where to just chat, in the evenings. Ibis Rotorua is not somewhere we will stay again.

GGuest UserWhen we booked the cheapest motel we could find for the short stay of two nights, we were not prepared for such an interesting experience. The rooms were scrupulously clean. Top marks for that. Towels changed every day. But oh what a strange place. There are two parts to the motel. We were put in what had once been a very expensive 1950's house converted into motel rooms. Up a very steep staircase, into the room, which has been decorated in what can only be described as someone's idea of art deco come 1950's. We had such fun figuring out what parts of the house had been altered to accommodate our space. The bathroom is very adequate and rather quaint. The toilet stall is housed in what would have been the homes original shower, with all the original pipework covered up by pictures. Access to the bathroom from the bedroom - step onto a mat - check under the mat and start laughing, because the pipework for the original toilet is still there. But hey, it was clean, the rooms large and after all, it's only to sleep in.

GGuest UserIt is a very convenient inn, close to the center where the bus departure and arrival are held and the night market is held.
The shared part such as the kitchen was quite beautiful.
I think the room depends on how the person in the room uses it, but I think it is a beautiful inn for backpackers.
It is the impression that there were many people who made a lot of noise in the room until late time, probably because there were many use of young people.
There was a little problem with payment.
I paid in advance and my credit was withdrawn properly, but I was charged again at check-in. The manager refunded me.
It is said that the cause is the lack of cooperation between the inn and the affiliated company, but I think it is better to confirm it firmly on the day of check-in even if it is paid in advance. When I contacted Trip.com, he responded immediately even though it was midnight. Thank you.

KKIWI-NZStayed many times, very nice hotel with swimming pool, kids love it very much. Dinner at the hotel, very satisfied, delicious meals and good service. Although the facilities are not new, they are clean and undamaged. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.

GGuest UserTwo nights. The first we enjoyed a tour dinner of the highest quality at the on-site restaurant. The second we dined in at Mr Yakitori and what a pleasure that was also. Included breakfast offered the full options, including an egg station, again of super quality. From checkin to checkout, every staff member was friendly and helpful, a credit to the establishment. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. My single downside was the shower head, which sent water in every direction. Not sure there is too much in remedy, the high mineral content of Rotarua is most likely hard on bathroom fittings.

RraisunfamilyThe motel units are clean, comfortable, and adequate for a short stay. I had left a telephone message before arrival, and not had any reply, so when we arrived and I introduced myself, the young lady explained to me that the owners do not speak English, and she, herself is only a part time worker who helps them out. HOW in NZ, can this happen? The criteria for living and working in NZ, as a foreigner, is that English is tested prior to working visa's or residency is granted (being an immigrant myself, I know this first hand!). Despite this language barrier, which is more annoying than anything else, our stay was comfortable. The unit could do with a freshen up - coat of paint, new bathroom floors, shower glass cleaned better etc. We chose this motel as it had a hot tub, but the tub annoyingly switches off every supposed 8 - 10 minutes. This seemed more like every 5 minutes and the re-set switch is so far away from the tub, you have to hop out in the COLD to switch it back on! So much for my relaxing time. The motel request to avoid using the hot tub after 10pm is realistic and understandable, and we were happy to comply. I'm sure we will return, possibly. Hope the re-set hot tub switches are moved by then!

I didn't expect the part of the park walk to be quite big. I was pleasantly surprised. The English brother at the front desk introduced the park content in detail.
