"The hotel is really close to Plaza Mall, Grand Mall, Thamrin Mall, and Tanah Abang, super convenient for shopping and exploring the city. The room is comfortable, beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The staff are friendly, professional, and their service is truly impressive and satisfying. They even provide a scale for weighing luggage, so you don’t have to unpack again at the airport — such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast was delicious with many options, and the overall atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing. Definitely worth the stay — I’d love to come back again!"

"Came to Jakarta 2 Sept-5 Sept, just rightly after the rally ended. In Medan, the rally just begun though. So I purposely chose this hotel which is located at Tanah Abang, avoiding the busy Thamrin City or Grand Indonesia area (it is still along the road anyways) The room was huge, clean, the hospitality was 💯! It is very much closer to Tanah Abang (shopping place) and Blok M Square (viral food) and I literally walked to Tanah Abang (500m away). Plus point the hotel has the weight scale to weigh your luggage, but the food was mehhhh. Overall, loved my stay!"

"Review: 5-Star Hotel Stay – Mixed Experience. I recently stayed at this 5-star hotel Aug 2025, which, despite its grandeur, is showing its age at nearly a decade old. The property retains an elegant charm, but certain aspects left me with mixed feelings. Room and Cleanliness: The room was impressively spacious, a highlight of the stay, with a bit old decor and ample space to relax. However, the cleanliness was average at best. While the surfaces appeared tidy, there were noticeable signs of wear, and the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke was a major downside. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room through Trip.com and reiterated this during check-in, but was informed that no non-smoking rooms were available. As a gesture, the staff upgraded me to a higher-tier room, which I appreciated, but the cigarette odor was still strong, lingering in both the room and the hotel corridors. This was particularly disappointing for a 5-star property. Service Issue: To address the smoke smell, I called room service to request an air freshener. After waiting 30 minutes with no delivery, I had to call again. The second time, the staff promptly delivered it, which helped slightly, but the experience felt inconsistent with the hotel’s luxury branding. Amenities: On a positive note, the breakfast was exceptional—diverse, mix of local and International cuisine. The swimming pool was another highlight, well-maintained, and a relaxing spot to unwind with an indoor and outdoor scenic view. Overall: While the spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast, and nice pool were highlights, the cigarette smell and inconsistent service detracted from the experience. For a 5-star hotel, I expected better attention to cleanliness and guest requests. I’d recommend this hotel for its amenities but urge management to address the smoking issue and improve service responsiveness to truly meet 5-star standards. Rating: 3.5/5"

"Hands down this hotel is probably the most enjoyable stay I had in Jakarta. Check-in was easy and the lobby just says luxury. Secured card access to rooms and even the swimming pool and gym. Good sized swimming pool with unblocked sky scraper views. Went at 6:15 am it was just lovely. Breakfast spread was okay, and definitely appreciate the warm hospitality from the staff. Recommended, especially when there’s no traffic sounds around at all times."

"The hotel staff are excellent. Friendly and service orientated.   The facilities at the hotel is great. Good and varied F&B restaurants. The pool and garden on the 5floor excellent. Great place to relax and chill out. There are many other hotels in the area where the Grand Hyatt is located. The thing that stand out most for the Grand Hyatt is the excellent service and friendly staff. The Grand Hyatt is my first choice of hotel when I am in Jakarta."

"Lovely clean hotel, nice big room. We had kitchen facilities including microwave, oven, full size fridge and freezer, utensils, crockery etc. Also was useful to have a washing machine. 2 separate bathrooms. Lovely clean big windows. Ac good. Beds comfortable. Nice to have a separate living room and tvs showed HBO movies even in bedroom which we liked. Only negatives were not enough hand towels, bath mat and hand soap even after the room was cleaned these were not provided and tea and coffee not refilled. There is complimentary water in sealed glass bottles which must not be taken away or you are charged 50k. Close to gongdangdia commuter station on the Bogor line which is very handy. There are some nice coffee shops nearby where you can have breakfast (turn right after exiting hotel) but hotel also has buffet breakfast for purchase approx 200k/person."

"Think this is our fourth time here? -this time we had a four bedroom penthouse for a small family gathering/birthday party. Great views from 32? floor. My Indonesian friends always enjoy the breakfast here and all staff are really helpful. Lovely pool gym and sauna. 24 Hour convenience store across the street plus my friends like the street food locally."

"The service was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. Just a heads-up for breakfast: it's served until 10 AM and is 100% Indonesian. If that's not your preference, you'll have to look for food elsewhere. My main disappointment was that the room window didn't open, and there was an unpleasant odor both in the room and in the hallways. I suggest the establishment consider using air diffusers to improve the atmosphere."

"To be honest, choosing this hotel just because it’s close to my business trip appointments, I was actually quite disappointed since the booking process. The hotel is very old but clean, location is good which is no complaint about on accessibility. However, no phone in the room saying PABX brokers (first time ever I heard of with my 20+ years hotel experiences), you can’t ask for extra bottle of water. Request that none could be attended to on bedding. When we checked in after official check in time that was told room isn’t available. Until I refused to accept as I did have appointment to catch. On the good side, room is spacious but it’s like 30 years old without any renovations. Not sure if I would ever come back staying here again if I visit Jakarta again."

"The place is pretty nice, rooms are clean and there some restaurants nearby. Somehow the food we put into the fridge got locked by someone when we were not at the hotel (way after the room was cleaned). So we’re not sure why would someone enter the room after it was fully cleaned. When we asked the stuff about that, no one solved the problem. The service person looked at the fridge, smiled and said “let me check something” and just left the room without even coming back. I am not sure if it is not allowed to use the fridge in the room, but why would you have it in the room at first place?"
