We booked this hotel last year without really looking in to it, it was only a few weeks before going that I started reading the reviews, and I was dreading it and thinking we had made a big mistake. Yes the lift is archaic, but at the end of our 4 night stay we decided it had a certain charm. The furniture and decor are old, but the room was spotless, except the base of the bed, but the cleaner can’t clean that. The electric plugs were a bit dodgy, but we managed to charge everything. The shower was slow and if you are female over a size 18 you won’t even get through the shower doors. Some more coat hangers would be useful. But overall it wasn’t the horrendous experience I was expecting and we all said that we would stay there again, especially with such a great location. It can be noisy but you are in the middle of a city so that is to be expected.

We have filed the hotel several complaints, but they didn’t help us at all, I fact all we got was putting the blame on everyone else but them. The room was super noisy, there was no hot water, room was dirty (walls, curtains), power inlet was hanging out of the wall, the fire alarm activated 7 in the morning (without a fire!) and nobody switched it off for more than 25 minutes, there were no doors in the room, so we couldn’t separate ourselves. There were no proper blankets, they put some old, dirty bedsheet together and that was it…. For this price this hotel really wasn’t worth it.

When we got into the hotel we had to wait for the lift that took about 10 minutes to come down since the reception is one floor up and we had a big bag. We had to wait for the guy to take us to our room assuming it would be upstairs but it was actually in a totally different building which looked more like an apartment building than a hotel. The lift was very small and the light was falling apart. When we finally got into the room and started setting everything up, we realised the bathroom door didn't lock and the double bed was actually two single beds pushed together. We also realised the outlets was pushed in so much into the wall we couldn't even charge our phones and the lamps next to the bed didn't work either. The shower tooled ages to warm up and when we went to ask about the bed and the outlets. They said that all the double beds are like that and when we said that wasn't shown on the pictures and we weren't happy that we are staying at a different building and when we said about the outlets they said they would get the technician in to fix it and 5 minutes when we got into the room. We got the guy that showed us our room and of course he couldn't fix it and when we asked how are we meant to charge our phones he gave us extension cord which didn't get near the bed. Since he couldn't fix it, he said the technician had gone home and the reception closes at 9:00pm so he would come in tomorrow and since we were out the whole day we didn't realise they didn't fix it until our third day there and they also said they were full until our third day there so we couldn't be moved to another room. The receptionists were liars and when asked how it was our stay and we told us how bad it was they didn't know what to say. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

The pictures you see are in a different building down the road and not where u will be staying! There are no double beds in the hotel they are all two singles pushed together with a gap in the middle extremely uncomfortable and dishonest this hotel is a SCAM! Plug sockets didn't work, neither did the bathroom door lock and the shower would take 10 minutes till it heated up to barely warm. This place is unbelievably run down and disappointing I have recently traveled to Portugal,Spain, Amsterdam, Wales and France and this was the worst hotel I have stayed in so far. DO NOT STAY HERE! AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!
