The man at the desk did not pay attention. Made us wait for long while he saw us, didnt come up or greet us. The other people were nice. Pretty dated hotel but bed and bathroom clean. Really ugly room in my opinion but i dont really care about that. I would advise to invest some money in paint and renovate it, it has a lot of potential to become a great hotel. Near central.

The room was generally satisfactory. There was a single-use shower gel and a small bar of soap (disposable and clean). It was close to the station and there was a good cafe nearby (Bar fondi's cappuccino and croissant were delicious!). The room was spacious enough and the TV was satisfactory. The walls were a little thin, the heating was sometimes on and sometimes off, and the towels were changed on the first night of the two nights but not on the second night. The inn is on the fifth floor, but there are sometimes homeless people sleeping on the stairs. They are not harmful, but you should consider the security around the station before coming here. It's not expensive, but it's not cheap either, so it was a little disappointing. The location was very convenient and the reception staff were kind.

This hotel is located just around the corner from termin, Rome main transportation hub, no need to take a cab to/from airport, high speed train take you to Florence in 1 hour and to Milan in 3 hours. Colloseum and other attractions just 10-15 minutes by Metro as well as Piazza de Pipolo to take your day excursions. Hotel is located on the 5ft floor of an old building, entrance is a little bit sketchy since you have to pass the garbage bins and take an old elevator takes forever to take you to the 5ft. For a 2 stars hotel, rooms are very decent, ample in size and very clean washroom and floors. Got a double room for 2 nights, bathroom was very small but manageable; switch to a single room for my third night and the washroom was very big, again very nice and clean. Towels, shampoo and little soaps are offered. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they will help you out with whatever thing you need, I needed hot water for my tea and got it for me several times, always with smile, there’s a lady working there that always wear black, she is the best. If you just need a place to crash at night, this is your hotel no worries here.

Not so big, but very near from Termini station, so it is good especially when arriving late in the night.

Location is unbeatable close to Termini, connected airport and attractions in minutes, high speed trains to other cities such Florence and Milan. Entrance hotel a bit sketchy, garbage beans around, really old lift but it works. Upon arrival to the 5ft floor there’s the hotel, rooms are clean, decent size, some washrooms are too small others bigs ( stayed in two different rooms, different bookings, decided to stay an extra day in Rome), overall for a two stay hotel is good, don’t expect nothing fancy or basic like coffee in the rooms, kettle and such. Staff is really good, accommodating in case you need something, specially girl wearing black.

Terrible experience, rude staff and items stolen from room. My AirPods were left in the room and they went missing, staff were very unfriendly when I asked them about it, to find that they were 50 miles outside of Rome when I checked the location on FindMy. My retainer box was also broken which they blamed on ‘the wind’. There is no safe in the room so we are very lucky we still have our passports and cash. The area itself is also very unsafe with homeless people sleeping outside of the entrance to the hotel. Please avoid.

Great location near Roma Termini, Metro and taxi stands. Friendly and helpful staff. Great Italian food nearby as well as several pastries shops and a pharmacy. Convenient base from which to get in and around your Italian travels. Price was easy on the budget also.

Let me just preface this review by saying that this was my third time in Rome, so I was familiar enough with what to expect quality-wise from Hotels, especially around the Termini area, which is generally "not advised". We booked our trip on very short notice, within 2 weeks of staying in the middle of May, so it was very much a last minute, out of options decision. Locating the hotel itself is unusual. Firstly, you have to take a 'public' elevator to the 5th floor, the building itself houses multiple hotels and apartments on each floor, and so you have to press a buzzer to be let in for the first time. We were very pleasantly surprised at how tidy and neat it all was upon arriving. For only being a 2-star hotel, we weren't expecting a whole lot, but our room was big, it was cleaned daily, the bed was comfortable and the towels for showering were also replaced daily. It was on-par with some of the 4-Star hotels I've stayed in (With exception to a few things, such as the public elevator, etc) - Air conditioning was provided upon request, which we didn't know until our second last day (Just given a remote control from the receptionist desk) Overall, I could honestly recommend Hotel Planet to anybody staying in Rome. It's affordable, clean, cheap, and in a good location (Right next toTermini - for stores, pharmacy, Starbucks, etc) We really had no complaints at all from our time here, one thing I will say though is that some of the review photos on Trip Advisor seem to be old and out-dated. But the entire hotel seems to have gotten a massive facelift, and so the photos on Trip Advisor aren't here to deceive you at all, which was a concern of ours, that is really the hotel. Overall I give it 4/5 stars!
