Albergo Abruzzi

We stayed here for 4 nights in June and it was the perfect location. The hotel room is very small but it was fine for 2 people. Breakfast was included at a restaurant up the street which was more than enough for us. The view of the Pantheon was also incredible. It was a bit noisy (not the hotel fault) but great to see and hear the hustle and bustle of Rome! The staff at the front desk were ALWAYS very helpful and the cleaning staff did a great job. Couldn’t have chosen a better hotel in Rome.

This hotel is located in a wonderful area and you are in walking distance to most everything if you don’t mind up to a mile walk for some places. There are a lot of shops and restaurants to peruse as well. Beware of the “fake Italian” option right outside the hotel. Walk off the beaten path for the authentic restaurants. The rooms are very small and a bit difficult if you have large luggage. The AC struggles to keep up with the very hot day. It would be fine on cooler days. Staff very nice and accommodating. Nice breakfast included.

Hotel Abruzzi offers a spectacular location—right on the corner of the lively square facing the Pantheon. While the piazza is active and vibrant (though not overwhelmingly crowded like the Trevi Fountain), it’s an excellent base for exploring Rome on foot. Plaza Navona is just a 2-minute stroll, and the Vatican is a scenic 25-minute walk. The staff were welcoming, and though the entryway is small and unassuming, the charm builds as you ascend the spiral staircase to the rooms. Ours was spacious, with plenty of storage and, best of all, a stunning view directly overlooking the square and Pantheon. One standout feature: the soundproof windows. If you’ve lived in a buzzing city like New York, you’ll recognize the hum of life outside your window. That said, the windows and walls here do an excellent job—while not completely silent until late into the night, we slept soundly and without issue. A nice touch: rooms offer different pillow options to suit your comfort preferences. Breakfast is provided at a nearby restaurant just down the street. It was decent—we enjoyed it once, but chose to explore other local spots for breakfast on the following days. Overall, Hotel Abruzzi is a nice, comfortable stay in one of the most iconic locations in Rome. A great choice for travelers wanting to be immersed in the heart of the city.
