Canova Rooms in Spanish Steps

The location is very good, very close to Plaza de España. There is a shopping street downstairs, not far from anywhere. There is also a Chinese restaurant very close by, which is cheap and highly recommended. The room is a bit noisy facing the street. The bad experience after check-in was the receptionist. After checking in, we were taken to the room. I was very satisfied with the large room. We needed to climb a long staircase. We unpacked our luggage and prepared to check in. Then the woman came a while later and said that the room was given to us by mistake and asked us to change rooms. There was no apology. I was very angry because it was not easy to move the luggage up. Then the woman not only did not apologize but accused me of what room you booked, didn't you know? I was really speechless. Then she said if you don't move, I will call the police. I really don't like to argue with her in a foreign country, so I moved. I had to go down two floors and then go up one floor. The days without elevators in Europe are really enough. But this quarrel has fully demonstrated my English level. The picture is the first room that was wrongly given to us

The hotel is in the old town, the surroundings are very convenient and the stay is very comfortable.

The room was not like the photo I saw when I booked it. The room type was changed and the check-out time was a bit early.

Superbe hôtel A proximité du Métro (4 minutes) et l’hôtel se situe entre la place Popolo et la place d’Espagne. De nombreux magasins, restaurants, glaciers autour. L’hôtel est calme, propre et sécurisé. Ils fournissent 2 bouteilles d’eau par jour avec du jus et des biscuits. Le personnel est super gentil, très accueillant.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo affittacamere dal 14 al 18 Aprile 2022. Che dire, posizione più che strategica: la a molti (me compresa prima di questo viaggio) sconosciuta via del Babuino è la parallela della famosa Via del Corso, ma molto più tranquilla e un po' meno frequentata (cosa che non guasta in centro a Roma e nei giorni di Pasqua) ed offre un comodissimo collegamento tra Piazza del Popolo e Piazza di Spagna (centri della capitale e con due comode stazione dei taxi sempre a disposizione). Le camere sono abbastanza spaziose ma non enormi: noi abbiamo soggiornato nelle stanze 103 e 102, con un ingresso ed un corridoio comuni e due autonome porte d'accesso alle rispettive camere (cosa molto comoda per una famiglia). La pulizia è impeccabile. La struttura non dispone di un vero e proprio servizio colazione, ma in ogni stanza vengono messi a disposizione un bollitore elettrico ed una macchinetta per il caffè con le cialde, gli infusi, le bustine di zucchero e stoviglie necessarie. Le camere dispongono inoltre di una piccola scrivania, frigo bar, comodini, armadio, cassaforte e televisore. I bagni sono non troppo grandi ma funzionali, con doccia e sanitari (nel nostro caso una sola delle due camere disponeva di bidet), docciashampoo, saponette e phon. Il proprietario, il Sig. Gianni, ed figlio Marco si sono dimostrati molto cortesi e disponibili anche ad intervenire in caso di necessità nonostante il soggiorno cadesse in un ponte festivo come quello pasquale. Consigliato!
