The room is very stylish, the mattress and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom is super clean, and the location is a three-minute walk from the Vatican. The area is very safe and has many restaurants. The only minor drawback is that the counter staff is not available 24 hours a day, but you can check in by yourself, and the instructions are very clear, which is suitable for people who have a spirit of self-guided travel. If you arrive on a late flight, it may be very troublesome for the whole family to walk from the subway and then plan to check in, so I don’t recommend choosing this place.

A Rome pour quelques jours, nous avons été reçues très cordialement à Porta Castello. B&B authentique, avec un bon petit déjeuner. Transports en communs faciles à rejoindre. Tellement proche de la place St Pierre qu’il est possible de s’y rendre en 5’, de profiter d’une longue visite sans foule à l’ouverture (7:00), de monter dans la coupole et de revenir à l’aise pour prendre le petit déjeuner. Parfait pour ceux qui aiment le charme de l’ancien et la pâtisserie faite maison au petit déjeuner.

This is an apartment turned into a hotel. So no front desk or anything related to a hotel. It's more like an Airbnb where you are on your own. The room didn't have a desk or a chair to put your valuables on. It only had two small decorative shelves that was holding the coffee maker, the tea pot and so on.

Overall, we like this small but clean room. The staff were very flexible to accept our changing schedule and patiently waited for us. We really appreciated.
