I strongly advise against staying at Hotel Etruska in Rome. During our stay, our room was broken into and our personal belongings were stolen. We later found out that two other rooms were also robbed that same night. The hotel has no security measures whatsoever – no cameras, flimsy doors, and essentially anyone can access the building. The most shocking part was the attitude of the owner, who refused to take any responsibility. He ignored the situation completely and showed no interest or willingness to help. Instead of a relaxing holiday, we experienced stress and a sense of danger. We lost valuable belongings and any trust in this place. Stay away from this hotel – it’s not just unpleasant, it’s unsafe.

Be careful! We with other 3 couples were robbed in this apartament. There were no cameras. You and your personal things are not safe in this place. We have no chance to get back our bags, money, documents. Stay away! Don’t make this mistake, choose safe place.

BE CAREFUL!!! WE WERE ROBBED IN THIS APARTMENT!!! AS WELL AS 3 OTHER COUPLES AT THE SAME TIME!!! EVERYTHING WAS ORGANIZED IN SUCH A WAY THAT WE ARE HELPLESS AND HAVE NO CHANCE OF RECOVERING OUR THINGS!!! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE VERY GOOD REVIEWS ON BOOKING ETC!!!

The owner is a fraud! I was there with my friends and we've been robbed (two adjacent apartments too at this same time). Owner avoids any responsibility despite of thieves had evident access to apartments because of lack any sings of forced entry.

It couldn’t have been better! Paolo and Raul were impeccable from the start. The rooms are spectacular! Honestly, it was my sixth time in Rome, and I’ve stayed in 3/4/5-star hotels, but this was, without a doubt, the best room I’ve ever stayed in! In terms of comfort, silence, size… the only issue was that the overhead shower in the bathroom had low water pressure. But the handheld shower was fine. Small suggestion: it would be great to add a fixture to hang the smaller showerhead at a higher position. The location is the best: Trastevere has everything, from restaurants and bars to charming shops and streets, and it’s easy to get anywhere, either on foot or by public transport. I really liked the building, which was residential and typical, and I loved that breakfast was served at a local bakery on the street: it gives you a taste of everyday life, and everything was delicious! Everything was super easy! Next time I’m in Rome, I will definitely stay here again!

Good stay in a fun neighbourhood!
The location was great and the check-in host was kind. It was a little difficult to find when using Google Maps. The room was comfortable with great shower pressure but as it is in Rome you will overpay for a property that should not cost $250 CAD a night. However, no real complaints!
