Open since 1805 the Best Western Premier Grand Hotel Russischer Hof is one of the most traditional hotels in Germany. It is ideally located within the historical part of Weimar and all points of interest are within walking distance. The theatre of Weimar is located next door.
The Culinary highlights of the hotel include the Restaurant Anastasia as well as the Kaffeehaus. The hotel bar Romanow offers International drinks and cocktails. The 125 rooms come in several different categories, from modern comfort rooms to the historical Zarensuite with its own whirlpool. The hotel itself, and the staff are excellent. All clean, people very friendly and operate efficiently and without waiting times.
The food is cheap, portions (too) large, tastes good, but it does not come to the high kitchen of a Michelin star level.
Unfortunately, the hotel's garage was already occupied, so I had to stop my car at the public at the post (with a car 250m, walking well 50m), but it is also easy.
