Makris Apartments

It actually deserves 5 stars. But after the negative experience we had, unfortunately I have to score badly. First of all, there is no bus from the airport. And we had to pay 90 euros for the taxi. Very good location. Very close to the beach. But there is a dirty creek next to it. And if you leave the balcony door open, all the nasty flies and mosquitoes from that creek swarm into the room. One night while sitting on the balcony, I closed the door to keep the flies in and unfortunately the door was locked. Despite all my efforts, I could not open the door and I had to sleep on the balcony with my pregnant wife. As a result of calling the given phone numbers many times, someone answered the phone around 2 am. I told him the situation, but he spoke to me in Greek and hung up on me. Then at 6 a.m. someone else picked up the phone and told me to be careful closing the door, which was pretty absurd. He told me he was away, that he would send his friend. And finally his friend came and opened the door at 7:30 in the morning. It was very bad for us that our holiday experience was so bad. Then we asked how we could get to the airport for the return and they told us that we should take a taxi. When we asked if he could book a taxi for us, unfortunately we did not receive any answer. (Still no reply to my message.) We booked a taxi on our own and were really glad to get out of there at the end of the day. Extra: Since i wrote this negative review on booking, they asked me for an extra fee on the pretext that I did not comply with their policy in the room. A complete disgrace. You will have made the biggest mistake of your life by staying there.

Booked for the day as was unable to keep room on so booked this hotel. Stunning views, excellent place, everything you need, would recommend this place. Did not sleep in the beds as only needed to be able to shower. Right on the beach, lovely veranda to out and watch the world go by Thank you

Group of friends, families booked to stay at Makris trough ***********. It was clearly stated that we only have to pay there, and cards are accepted. The owner made a so called “preapproval” on the bank card that we gave for security reasons, when we made the booking. The preapproval could be made even with a 0€ but he made it with the 50% of the total amount of the booking, and he kept it blocked for 2 weeks. He only released it on our last day when he wanted us to pay for the accommodation, and he wanted cash in any prize. We spent our last day arguing with him on what’s app about the payment, as he didn’t want to accept cards. He only wanted cash or he was going to take the whole amount from the one card the he already blocked for 2 weeks previously with a large amount. Nightmare. The internet not working, in any of the rooms, it’s not that it’s slow, there is no connection at all. The 3 bedded room was a 2 bedded studio with extra bed, for a price of a 3 bedded room! In our bathroom when you had a shower the water was going everywhere, also there is a hole on the floor front of the toilet where every smell came back constantly…

We have been staying with the makris family a few years now, the apartments are clean, the family are lovely, all we could want really , such a chilled out spot to relax , air con, safes and tv’s in the rooms , although we never had the tv on once, so nice to be back again , we look forward to next year
