Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester North Mayo Clinic

It was a nice motel but the reason why I rated cleaning poorly was because I found hair in the towels. The hair was not mine and I didn’t touch the towels and some concerns about the ceiling pictures are shown in the pictures. Overall experience was good!

Nice location right in Rochester. I was only driving through, but there's a bunch of shops and restaurants near by to pick up food. The facilities were clean.

The room, although small, was nicely decorated and the mattress & pillows were comfortable. I’d guess the room furnishings were not more than a few years old and in very nice shape. The staff we talked to were wonderful and is a very big plus for this hotel. The bathroom was dated. The shower had just enough pressure to spray me instead of dribbling to the bottom of the tub. The toilet seat appeared to have been installed when Jimmy Carter was president—wish I had taken a photo. Plus, the seat was aggressive—it would not stand up on its own and always fell forward. This was quite an experience when doing my first night run as us older guys need to do. The seat attacked me in the middle of my performance, scaring the hell out of me as I was half asleep. I can confirm it’s impossible to stop the flow as I dodged and twisted away from my surprise attacker. The hotel did, however, get a free floor wash as I cleaned up after the attack. The lobby and breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast was just fine. However, other common areas were showing their age. Would I go back? Yes, the price was very attractive and as long as I can get a docile toilet seat I’d be just fine.

Not a keeper of their words asked for confirmation on specific handicap room texted them contacted them on 4 occasions to confirm when we arrived after a 6 hour drive they didn’t have my accommodations meet at all. Bloody sheets and dirty bathroom dust everywhere

The night check-in girl was very welcoming and friendly.
