The Liberty Trust

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Liberty Trust. We loved the location downtown. We were able to walk to fabulous restaurants and other fun locations. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. The staff was friendly and were ready with anything we needed.

We stayed here for a three day visit to a walkable city, which Roanoke is. Beautiful hotel in an old bank building, but with all the amenities you expect from a good hotel. The location is perfect, a few hundred yards from the art museum and the transportation museum. The rooms (we had a king room) are large and comfortable.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we've had lately. This lovely little boutique hotel ruins you for all the chains. It's immaculate and stylish. It's in a great location where you walk out the door and have the cutest little downtown to shop and dine in - tons of choices for both. The hotel bar and restaurant were awesome as well - a small menu but everyting we ate was perfect. And best of all was the amazing service, from check in to the bar to housekeeping. This is a classy place with real hospitality professionals.

I chose to stay at the Liberty Trust Hotel in Roanoke because it's a short walk from the train station and I was taking a short vacation there via Amtrak. It was a perfect choice both for location and for comfortable, beautifully furnished rooms. The historic building is elegantly renovated. My room, which looked out over the train station towards the Hotel Roanoke, was very clean and the furnishings were all in excellent condition. The bed was quite comfortable. It was an easy walk (2-3 blocks) to the center of town where there are lots of restaurants and boutiques. There's a pedestrian bridge over the train tracks a couple of blocks away, leading to the Hotel Roanoke and the nearby Winston O. Link Museum (which was fabulous if you're into steam engines and photography). I didn't eat in the Hotel's restaurant but it is a beautiful space. The staff was very gracious and had good suggestions for restaurants. I really enjoyed the two nights I stayed at the hotel, and if I return to Roanoke again it's probably where I will stay.

A true gem of a hotel, right in the heart of downtown Roanoke. Check in was easy, and the staff were all lovely. It's a short walk to all the great downtown shops and restaurants, and mere steps from the Amtrak station.
