The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, Curio Collection by Hilton

This is one of my favorite Hotels. The grounds and rooms are very well done! All the staff is amazing. Bar tender Violet and Angie make exceptional drinks. I only have one wish, I ordered a normal favorite the pork shank. They have changed the recipe! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! This was probably one of my favorite dishes that I am a big foodie! But they remove the sweet potatoes, collard greens and apple chutney. It is just not the same! I am begging you to bring it back! I am adding a photo of the old recipe below!

Roanoke clearly knows they’re sitting on a gem since the walkway from the rest of the center city sites make it super easy to visit the hotel. We didn’t stay here, but it’s definitely worth walking around to at the very least check out the pretty and historic common areas.

Absolutely fantastic service and facilities. Came for a family reunion and had a fabulous time. Bruce Tolley in the Pine Room was our waiter for two nights and he went out of his way to please us, take photos and make sure our meals were memorably terrific!! Big kudos to Bruce for redefining customer service and hospitality!!

Wow, was this fantastic. Everyone from the valet, to front desk, to the bartender to the restaurant staff were simply amazing. Really cool old hotel, updated and modern in some ways, a nod to the past in others, but still very cool. Specifically speaking, Jennifer at the bar, Penny and Vinny Oni the Pine Room restaurant, Tara at the front desk, were the epitome of excellent customer service. The room was modern and comfortable, reasonably priced all around, just such a wonderful experience.

The quality of the hotel was better than any I had stayed in before. The AC system was very quiet but effective. Bed was wonderful and proximity to downtown Roanoke wonderful. Main complaint was that the room was tiny. It was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and nothing in the reservations indicated this. The room was so small it didn't have a closet, only a coat rack on the wall with hangers and two robes. It was comically tiny, which we were totally unprepared for. Good thing it was our anniversary getaway so we were comfortable being in such absurdly close conditions. The promised safe in each room was not in our room. Considering there was just enough space beside the Queen bed to walk, I'm kinda glad. Overall the three nights we stayed were wonderful. I do feel cheated in paying for a room expecting enough space that we could have eaten in had we chosen to do so....which we absolutely could not have.
