The service could have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a huge hotel with twists and turns. Would have been helpful to have someone guide us to our room upon arrival. Also there is no water bottles provided in the room. They make you go to the desk to retrieve them. And we had to request room cleaning.

Great ambience, first time staying in the hotel. The staff was excellent and hospitable we were greeted by every staff member that we came across. They were all passionate and knowledgeable of the history of the hotel. We were able to check in sooner as our room was available. Even though we had a pool side view, there was very minimal noise. The only down side was that someone randomly knocked on our door at night and apparently there was a leak on the lower floor and staff needed to enter the room the following day but they did apologize for the inconvenience. Can't blame them though as I'm sure the person experiencing the leak was WAY more inconvenienced than us. Aside from that everything was great, the food, drinks, staff, and even the guests would share/recommend things to do or see. Would definitely come back again!

This hotel building has history, old architecture, central location, good food, the only problem is that the doors and windows are too old, the sealing is very poor, because it is a crossroads, the noise of the city at night kept me awake all night... the sound of cars, the shouting of young people on the roadside...

We stayed at the Mission Inn from July 18 to 20, 2025, in a Junior Suite King Room #325. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly short of expectations. The room itself was small, outdated, and in need of better maintenance. Considering Riverside’s notoriously hot July weather, the barely functioning air conditioning made the stay particularly uncomfortable. Additionally, the hotel appeared severely understaffed, which impacted basic service levels throughout the property. Most concerning was the issue on the morning of our departure: the shower in our room was completely nonfunctional. Despite calling the front desk twice to request assistance, no one arrived. At the front desk checkout, I reported the matter and was offered compensation for one night. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not fully account for the inconvenience of leaving the hotel sweaty and unable to shower.
