Swiss Cottage and Spa by Salvus

There was no hot water provided for bathing. We had to take a bath with cold water due to which the whole family suffered with the cold and they are not feeling well now. In their cafe the food was very expensive as compared to other cottages and cafes near them. The way to their cottage is very dangerous which makes it very hard to trek when you have senior citizens with you

Location is awesome, view is mind blowing. Room are more beautiful than pictures. Only thing to be aware is, monkeys come to terrace in morning. So don't keep your or hotel's property(dishes or mugs) outside. Monkeys break things, and hotel will charge you for that. Overall good experience.

Stay is good. Best for friends trip. One improvement needed -please keep the wifi on working condition for room number 104 as it is getting disconnected most of the time.

I arrived to rishikesh pretty late at 2:30am, unknown to the situation that there was a barricading 2km before the hotel and the hotel staff didn’t even bother to let the guest know that no personnel vehicle are allowed after that barricading. After i reached the hotel, the staff didn’t even knew that there was a booking in my name (as the manager didn’t inform the night staff about it) and because of it they messed up my booking with someone else and when they came to know about it they changed my room thrice in the middle of the night when i just fell asleep in the room. Later on the room assigned to me didn’t even had its bed sheets changed, there were used bed sheets and dirty pillows. Even in the amenities section where things like wifi, electric kettle or mini fridge non were working in the room. The electric kettle had fungus in it and because of all of this i had to check out of the hotel as soon as it was sun up even before my check out time. Also there were bunch of lizards in the room i guess they were there so that the guest won’t feel lonely in the room. Overall i got no sleep in the night had a terrible experience and the manager didn’t even wanted to admit their mistakes even after i showed them the proof as i took pics of all of these atrocities.

Good place to stay in budget. Well connected to highway. We can plan here for solo and business trip.
