Lia Studios

We have just returned from a great holiday staying in Lia apartments. After reading some previous comments about the studios since the upgrades made last winter, we were a little apprehensive. 2 of us had accommodation in the front block and 2 of us in the rear, which have been upgraded. The front block has the most amazing vista that some accommodations charge extra for. They were clean, and had facilities not often found in 2 star greek accommodation. (air con, TV, kettle and good WiFi). The location is perfect. Not a speck of mould, or a cockroach in site.

Had a lovely stay at Lia apartment, we were in the older block which we expected as we got a terrific bargain from TUI last minute booking. The view from our balcony was absolutely gorgeous so wasn’t complaining about being in this block at all. The accommodation itself was typical Greek basic but was extremely clean and could have had room cleaned everyday by the lovely cleaning lady but we wasn’t bothered about that. Never used the pool at the apartments as they were in front of peoples room but we preferred to used the taverna directly in front of the apartments, there you can use the sun beds and pool as long as you buy food or drink from them, family run and all so friendly. Overall a very happy week.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Lia Studios. Arriving in the early hours we were allocated a refurbished room which we had booked. The room was spacious and clean throughout. As in previous reviews I would agree that the air con and safe were amazing at no extra cost whilst also noting that the hill up to the apartments is quite steep so perhaps may not be appropriate for folks with mobility issues The location for us was great with around a 10 mins walk down to the town where there are two streets of bars & restaurants. Our favourite restaurant was called Dama Dama on the beach road which we can highly recommend for delicious traditional Greek dishes. The bus stop is only 5 mins walk from the hotel and we found the buses to be great when we went to Lindos for the day running approximately every 20 minutes. As in previous comment the house keeper was amazing, extremely accommodating and helpful which included a late check out for our room at a reasonable 25 euros (compared to a lot more in many places we have stayed) The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. I can totally understand people's disappointment if they were given an older room compared to a refurbished room. We would definitely stay here again and are already looking forward to returning.

Booked and paid for a superior room and that's what we were allocated. Couldn't fault anything at all. Air con was amazing and an easy to use safe (both free) apartment was cleaned and refreshed daily by Egla. It was spotless. We had room 203 on the ground floor so loved that we were right by the pool. Do note though that the sun doesn't hit your balcony until 2.30-3pm so you're in the shade until then. There was an area for sunbathing which was fine but could do with it being made a little more stylish. A few planters and greenery around would make it feel like you were actually in a hotel and not a car park. We arranged a late checkout at 6pm for €25 which was much appreciated as we had a late flight home. Bus stop 54 and supermarket 2 min walk away. Apartment could be vastly improved with a set of drawers under the dressing table. We used the kitchen drawer and cupboards which worked fine but not ideal. Would definitely return here and loved out stay but looks like price has increased significantly for 2026. Not sure it's worth the £300 extra

Stayed in block 2. - pool room and balcony. Room was very clean and the pool was perfect temperature. Shade in the morning, sun afternoon and night. Heat wave made it hard to explore but what we did see we enjoyed. Spoke to a few people who had block 1 and they have said the rooms were fine. Nothing like the bad reviews that have been put on. Personally I think some of the bad reviews are from one group not by different bookings as they all seem to say the same thing and have even come across a fake cockroach picture (reverse search and the size doesn't match tiles)

We booked this property through TUI, paying for the newly refurbished Superior room in the newly renovated building — the one prominently featured in their marketing. The new accommodation reflects more of a typical 4-star classification, with pristine new rooms and accompanying brand-new swim-up pool; therefore, representing a great deal until the entire property is completed next year, and inevitably re-classified based on its significant investment and enhancements. On arrival at 0400am, we were incorrectly allocated an old, unhygienic room in the non-renovated building - outdated, dirty, in extremely poor condition and with pest problems. It became evident why the new building had been completely gutted and started again from scratch, as everything had years of build-up and dirt, leaving completely insanitary conditions. We immediately raised the issue with TUI’s in-resort support, due to no staff being present on site. As this review is solely in relation to the accommodation, I will refrain from commenting of TUI’s disgraceful service in too much detail, however it spanned the entire duration of the trip, alongside their aftercare team upon our return and we have now raised a formal dispute against TUI with ABTA – highlighting how much accountability TUI are taking for the matter, and hopefully paints the picture. For context, this was also significantly down to the poor management at Lia Studios, as there are clear communication issues such as correctly allocating the new room type between theirs and TUI’s booking systems. Additionally, they did not wish to assist with the matter, and insisted they deal with us via the hotel cleaner and her translator app – ultimately telling us to go to TUI. We were unable to sleep, shower or unpack at the property due to the hygiene issues and cockroaches in the drains and shower area. We spent the first day between 0400hrs-2200hrs attempting to get a resolution, in which TUI eventually confirmed they would provide a complimentary accommodation change, though due to the 18 hours taken to confirm this from their now escalated Senior Support Team, the relevant team to perform the change were closed and would therefore have to action it the following day. We were then advised we could not move property at our own accord, as checking out would forfeit our right of a complimentary accommodation change. The above took us 13 calls to reach this outcome, and not only was the proposal unacceptable, TUI then retracted this offer the following morning without any explanation, leaving us to seek alternative accommodation at our own expense, where they believed a £100.00 apology was sufficient redress. For context: we are then left searching for new accommodation in high season, with high nightly rates. I wanted to share the above to confirm to anyone thinking that they can book this property and be looked after by TUI should any issues arise, as evidenced – they will not.
