Filoxenia Hotel Apartments

I can't praise this hotel and it's location enough. My first time traveling alone and it was just amazing. My hosts greeted everyone with such warmth and affection. Truly amazing owners of a stunning hotel and grounds. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The food was exceptional and staff were very polite and attentive. Great value resort. The beach is especially stunning and very quiet. The lady that runs the beach bar/restaurant is amazing. Cheap aswell. I will definitely return and likely annually as it's that good. Great job xx

Another fabulous Jet2 holiday location. Immaculate throughout with incredible levels of external cleaning a grounds maintenance. Comfy bed, well decorated and spotless room which was serviced impeccably throughout our stay. If you want to be fully self catering this isn’t for you but if, like us, you want a full sized fridge and the ability to cook the odd meal it’s perfect. Beach much better than we thought and cheap car hire gave us a couple of days touring. Ancient Kamiros is something else. Evangaline and Nicos are super hosts and the meals we had on side were really good value and tasty. Genuinely have no idea what more we could have expected for what we paid. First class.

What a gem this hotel is! First and foremost Evangelia and Nicos are wonderful hosts and all the staff are just amazing. The rooms are basic but this is to be expected. However, they are very clean and comfortable. It’s self catering so bring tea towels, washing up liquid etc. Air conditioning is chargeable at €8 per day but it is efficient. Unless you are in a 4/5* hotel A/C is chargeable everywhere. The pools are clean and well kept and the gardens are beautiful. The food in the taverna is excellent. Nothing is frozen. It’s all freshly prepared in their kitchen. Many people are multiple returners and we will do the same. This place has a certain traditional charm that I won’t forget. There’s a couple of supermarkets nearby where you can buy most of what you need. If you fancy a change there’s a very good restaurant called Mariposa close by and the Sunset Beach Bar which is on the beach is great for food and watching the sun go down. Drosia is also very nice and is in a gorgeous setting. Billy’s is more of a modern sports bar but great for families. There are a couple of gentle dogs and a cute little kitten that live here but they are no trouble and as far as I am concerned are an added bonus. Outside of school holidays it’s a tranquil oasis but of course it gets busier once you hit the second week of July. I would say the hotel suits families with very young children as not much else for older children unless you want to explore the island and use the hotel as a base. We have absolutely loved staying here and will definitely return.

Lovely hotel, staff friendly, we stayed self catering, basic, could benefit from an update, shower leaked to the point it flooded the bathroom, the bed slates were too small for the bed so collapsed we mentioned this and it was apparently fixed however still collapsed now and again... clean bedding every day altho towels were every 2 day's.. self catering items were 2 ring hob, 2 cups, 2.glasses, 2 of every cutlery.. no toaster or anything else. I don't normally go self catering so not sure if this is normal. Sun beds nearly always available no need to put towels on to save... quiet area altho its on the flight path with planes taking off every few minutes. Pay extra for air-conditioning 7 euro per night. Our tv remote did work altho we weren't bothered as didn't really need to watch tv. Had a lovely stay. Would stay again if it had different board basis.

Great apartment , basic bathroom , but good and clean, thank you Helen and colleague for working so hard in the heat, for cleaning our room. Beautiful gardens, two fabulous pools , one shallow, little round pool also for kiddies. Lots of sun beds , no struggle to get one , tho does get busy . Guests around the pool were friendly , even children were well behaved and a lovely to hear them enjoying themselves. Such a relaxing pretty place, well cared for, nice restaurant and bar, Greek dancers one night and barbecue another nite . Even have a fully stocked library.

Lovely hotel. We arrived late at night & were greeted warmly by the owner Nicos. We were taken to our room, which was small but perfectly formed. The room had everything we needed for a self catering stay ( we didn't cook though) just made hot drinks & snacks. The bed had a really comfortable mattress ( unusual for Greece) . Rooms were cleaned daily. Clean towels & sheets every other day. We are twice at the hotel, food was good. BBQ night was a bargain too! Pool area, clean and plenty of sunbeds available. Beautiful gardens & surprisingly quiet. You do hear the planes taking off but soon get used to it. The only reason for 4 stars is the shower head was poor, my husband fixed it. The owners did say they'd replace it if it failed again. Also, for self catering it would be helpful to have a dish cloth/ tea towel available and some washing up liquid. Recommend staying here.
