Afandou Beach Resort Hotel

Just returned from a fantastic week with Neilson at Levante. The holiday was perfect from start to finish - loads of activities and incredible staff to get you involved in anything you wanted to try. Particular shout out to the tennis coaches (Gregor, Owen and Tom) who came to every session with great energy and loads of tips. The beach staff were equally great and always available to help launch watercraft and supply some pointers. Bikes in great condition and again, loads of equipment available. We went on one guided tour which was great and took MTBs out ourselves too. Our 7 year old son did Surfbusters for the week, and Hannah was excellent. Barely any kids in the week we were there, so they combined ages, which worked well. He got to try out loads of different activities and was always keen to go back to the club every day! The facilities for children are wonderful and they get to have dinner in the pool bar two evenings a week on the later club days too. The hotel itself is very modern and clean - a huge place, shared with Playitas, which was great to have access to their very good WOD, yoga/pilates and spinning classes which are very frequent and high quality. Also nice to not only have British people in the hotel too! Rooms very nice and airy. The food is very good - so much choice and loads of Greek options. Excellent salad selection and don't think you can get bored unless you don't like Mediterranean food. There was also sushi one night and a couple of other selections for variety. Breakfast also excellent. Couple of tips - light wetsuits for younger children even for the pools in May are a good idea. The sea is still quite fresh so I did my sea swims in a trisuit and that made it very comfortable. The app is good when you get the hang of making bookings - recommend downloading it before you go so you can preview the activities and timings available, as it can get a bit overwhelming with so many options! Overall, excellent holiday and Neilson outstanding.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week with Neilson. We had a lovely garden suite with private pool. Food was good, particularly the salads and whatever meat was being cooked freshly on the grill. We enjoyed taking part in the Blue tennis coaching, and Sips&Hits! Thanks to Tom, Owen, Harry and Amelia for their patience, the hints and tips, and for making it good fun. Whilst the wind wasn't great, my husband windsurfed every afternoon and thought the beach team led by Ben were excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable, keep up the good work guys! Neilson waterski crew less helpful, too busy being 'cool'! All in all a great week, already looking at dates for next year!
