Lindos Sun Hotel

Just returned from 10 days at this hotel and cannot praise it enough. Room 915 with our own pool was brilliant. Staff all really helpful and friendly. Special shout out to the two girls who cover breakfast and the restuarant in the evening, also the sisters who run the pool bar. Room cleaned every day. Will return!

We have stayed numerous times in and around Lindos which is such a nice place, The Lindos Sun Hotel is one of the best we’ve experienced for so many reasons! The whole hotel including the grounds is exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The people working in the hotel were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really good, served again in very clean surroundings by nice staff. Would recommend without hesitation, we had a completely hassle-free and enjoyable week Well done everyone at the Lindos Sun

Fantastic holiday. Good value for money. Excellent location; second drop-off & third to last collection in mini-bus from/to airport in EasyJet transfer. 15 min walk to top of Lindos where restaurants, shops & bars start, & reasonably lit for walk home. Brilliant staff. Vegans well catered for (they have vegan feta cheese + options beyond the menu / buffet breakfast items). Reasonably priced (lunch, dinner & bar). Would have preferred drinking water to have been included, but bought 5l in a supermarket, got it at breakfast & bought 1l bottles for €3 from hotel. We also booked from TripAdvisor Lindos Summer Breeze 3 Hour All Inclusive Swimming Cruise, which was beautiful. Then organised ourselves a morning & evening trip in Rhodes City (for history: Palace of the Grand Master, Street of the Knights & Sokratous Street) via Lindos Transfers, with an afternoon in Symi via ferry (for a stunning port & nice beach, again with turquoise waters). All our food was delicious: We’d recommend the hotel food, plus in Lindos, Arhontiko & Olympia Restaurants, & in Rhodes City, Locanda Demenagas.

Disappointing Stay - Security Issues & Terrible Customer Service Our stay at Lindos Sun was far from the relaxing experience we expected. The security concerns in particular were a huge issue and the customer service was equally disappointing. The most concerning problem was with the security of our room. On two separate occasions, we returned to find the door unlocked, despite having securely locked it before leaving. This is a major safety concern - what could have happened if someone had entered the room? Our valuables (including passports) could have been taken, leading to serious complications. When we brought this issue up with the female manager, her response was to simply tell a colleague to "make sure the door is locked going forward." That was the extent of the solution. While we appreciate the attempt to improve the situation, it does nothing to address the core issue: how did the door become unlocked in the first place? Offering a fruit platter as compensation may have been an attempt at goodwill, but it did nothing to resolve the underlying security concern, and we were left feeling unsettled for the rest of our stay. As for the customer service - it was a huge letdown. The breakfast service was incredibly slow, with basic items like juice being unavailable for self service, causing unnecessary delays. On multiple mornings, I had to wait for long stretches before being attended to. On one occasion when I asked a female staff member for coffee, she spoke to me in a patronizing tone, making me feel like my request was a burden rather than a standard part of the service. Another example of poor service occurred when my daughter went to breakfast alone. A male server came to set the table but didn’t greet her, didn’t smile, and didn’t offer any drinks or assistance. She had to ask for a drink herself which made her feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. In any decent hotel, basic courtesy and hospitality would be expected, but it was clearly lacking here. That said, there were some staff members who truly stood out and provided the kind of service one would expect at a reputable hotel. The housekeeping team, along with all the Filipino staff members, were friendly and professional throughout our stay. Katerina and the two girls at the pool bar were always pleasant and attentive, and the male night-shift receptionist was a breath of fresh air with his welcoming attitude. The barman at night also made great cocktails and contributed to the better moments of our stay. These individuals made a real difference and deserve recognition for their kindness and service. However, the lack of basic warmth and professionalism continued even when we were leaving. We passed by three staff members - the female manager, a receptionist, and the same male server from breakfast - and none of them acknowledged us or even said goodbye. We were just the second guests to arrive this Summer season on the 1st of May! Apologies for only just getting round to writing a review! It was an excellent 10 day stay. We loved the setting and surrounds. The pool area was very relaxing and quiet. Loved the breakfast with great selection and Stelios the Head chef was very attentive to my wife's dairy allergy. We had four evening meals, two of which were in the newly opened restaurant. All the meals were of a very high quality. The walk up to Lindos took around 15 minutes which we didn't mind as May was not excessively hot but the bus was available if one didn't fancy the walk. Loads of restaurants and bars in Lindos all of a good standard. A final mention of the staff ---Nadia, Katerina and Juan were exceptional in the restaurants as was Stelios, of course , who was rightly proud of his restaurant and menus. All in all a really superb holiday and we would have no hesitation in recommending this. We hope the Summer is going well for you all .

We visited at the beginning of May. We were in fact only the second clients to arrive this Summer! Apologies for the delay in submitting this review. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay. The hotel is just the right size--quite intimate with lovely whitewashed buildings and beautiful flowers and grounds all immaculately kept. The pool area is lovely and quiet. Our room was just right with comfortable bed. Breakfast was an array of good food with loads of choices and my dairy allergy was well looked after. The new restaurant which opened whilst we were there will be a very good addition to the hotel. It serves beautiful food under the direction of Head Chef Stelios who was rightly very proud of his menus and cooking. The staff Nadia, Katerina and Juan were a real asset to the hotel and we hope your Summer is going well! The hotel is around 15 minutes safe walk from the top of Lindos Village, near enough to walk although the heat in May was not excessive. However the bus service is regular and efficient. Restaurants and bars in Lindos are plentiful. In short, a first class hotel. Quiet and intimate. Great for a rest and friendly service.
